Guest guest
Daryl. Pineapple has bromelein in it, and bromelein helps with inflammation. I take bromelein in pills, too. MSM is reported to help, but I have not noticed any help from it. Pain meds can be so dangerous. I do not take them, unless it is absolutely unbearable. I ended up taking plaquenil for lupus, which did help the pain. I take bromelein, and excedrin or ibupropin as needed. The pain meds for me were just to risky - at least taking them on any regular basis. > As you all can tell, I'm having one of my good days, since I'm > trying to get caught up on all these great messages. Guest guest
Daryl, if you want some help getting off pain meds, email me. I have had some experience with that, and might be able to help. Pain meds are dangerous. I had a friend die from addiction to percocet only recently. I took her to detox a couple months ago, but she went back to using. When I last called, her husband told me that she died. I don't mean to scare you, but it is a problem that I hope we can discuss on forums like this -- especially where so many of us have had to deal with pain, and that can mean pain meds. I am considering a pain management doc to discuss biofeedback... There are other ways of dealing with pain, than narcotics. > As you all can tell, I'm having one of my good days, since I'm > trying to get caught up on all these great messages. Guest guest
Daryl, Are you taking two parts Calcium to one part Magnesium? You can increase this to the point of diarrhea. Then back off until diarrhea reoccurs. You cannot take too much Magnesium. Your body will absorb what it needs into your bones and muscles. When you get your diet under control, you'll be amazed at how far you've come! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Daryl if your still taking pain meds you have no way of measuring your pain accurately. The only way to know would be to wean off them, suffer through it and see how you feel maybe 1 or 2 months later without them. At first your pain wil be worse but....in time you might actually feel better without them. That would be my advise as someone that also took pain meds long term.
