Guest guest
Cheri, Maybe one of the ladies will post the list of foods to eat, or not eat, prior to surgery . . . That's for the period just before surgery. In the meantime, if you can adopt a diet free of sugar, refined grains and processed foods . . . eating organically as much as possible PLUS taking probiotics like acidopholis (buy that from the refrigerated section of a health food store), or one bottle of Fungal Defense, followed by Primal Defense for an extended period, you will be off to a good start. Check www.smartbomb.com for the best prices I know of. When taking Fungal Defense, start with one at night on an empty stomach, and a full glass of water. Add one more each day (morning and night) until you're taking four each morning and night. When you finish Fungal Defense, you can start Primal Defense on the same schedule. The idea is for the diet to reduce the foods that encourage fungal growth. Fungal Defense to kill off negative organisms, and Primal Defense to start rebuilding healthy organisms. Once you reestablish healthy flora in your body, it should be able to handle negative organisms with only occasional help. It will take months, not days! Did you read the self-test for Candida? . . . It's not scientific, but it tracks very well with how you eat and treat for fungal organisms - as well as how you feel! In the morning, before putting anything in your mouth, spit in a glass of water. Let it sit for about 15 minutes. If there is a milky blob floating with tendrils hanging down, if it's broken into floating chunks, or if there's a milky blob at the bottom, it indicates a problem. (I had all three!) Drink at least 1/2 ounce of pure (non-chlorinated) water per pound of body weight daily. This is essential for flushing the toxins created by the fungal die-off. If your symptoms get worse while doing this, back off a little - until they become bearable. This is called a " herx " - a temporary worsening of symptoms when toxins are being removed. The idea is to keep the herx to a level that won't become a deterrent to detoxing. If you were to go to a center where they watched over you carefully, they may go all out to detox you. But, when doing it on your own, you need to take it easy. Just know that, when you had a herx, " you needed that " . And, when it's over, you'll feel better than you did before you started the herx. If possible, remove as many chemicals as possible from your environment. Most of us become chemically sensitive because we are overloaded with toxins. Many cosmetics and grooming products are chemically loaded. Also cleaning products . . . auto exhaust, tobacco smoke, etc. Hope this helps! . . .
