Guest guest
Ok, now I know some of y'all are gonna wanna beat me up, but you long timers may remember me mentioning I had been letting my parents claim my daughter as a dependent on their income tax b/c my daughter is on their medical insurance. Nada says she has to show the insurance company she claimed dauhter on tax return so they will allow daughter to be on their insurance. Now last year, b/c I worked my butt off with a FT and PT job but did not claim my daughter as my dependent, I owed the gov't $1800. This year it would be almost as bad, about $1200 or so. If I claim her, the gov't will owe me about $400. Ok, now me putting daughter on insurance with my job would cost an extra $200/month which is way too much. I would likely find another option than that. So, I appreciate her being on their insurance, but I really want to claim her this year b/c I have spent over a wad on online school stuff plus need a new A/C system; last year I had to spend a wad to support the roof b/c it started caving. Am I being such a pushover or what? Theresa
