OH MY GOSH THIS IS FUNNY LEA! YOU have no idea how true this is! Hee

hee. The drug reps where I work bring us lunch and dinner and all

kinds of snacks and things. It isn't all unhealthy or anything but

yeah they like to keep us in the food. We have lunch brought to us at

least 2x a week by drug reps. The fact is that know they can impress

the Dr's if they do this. The interesting thing is that no one where I

work is fat. I think since it is a dermatology clinic we have allot of

staff that really cares about how they look. I know I eat but I come

home and hit the gym too! It is really funny that you posted this

though! Yesterday we had lunch brought to us and the day before as

well. Usually they call and ask us where we woud like the food brought

from and we tend to chose salads and sandwiches and places like

Chillis and Applebees but yeah it is def true. We also like Jamba

Juices in the afternoons!

Lea,

Thanks for this message . . . It's a horrible comment

on the state of medicine in this country!

Like our goodies? Prescribe our meds! . . .

Total disregard for the health of the patient . . .

playing on the weaknesses of all.

What do goodies have to do with the medicines doctors

prescribe? . . . Well, if they didn't have an effect,

the salesmen wouldn't be there with junk food in hand!

One implant woman, well connected to big pharma, told

me the goal of the drug companies is to get EVERYONE

on drugs from birth to grave! $$$$$$$$$

When I went to D.C with a group of other implant

women, what I heard most often is that, when they got

off medication, they started getting well.

So much medication is not intended to cure . . . it's

just to mask the symptoms! Most of the implant women

who have done much better have approached their

problems with a multi-prong approach. Diet, exercise

and detoxing . . . It's not quick, but it's highly

successful.

Rogene I work for some really awesome docs and they are not drug

pushers at all. The thing with the drug reps is that if they cater

our lunches they def make themselves more likeable and memorable but,

in the end it really doesn't make the docs I work with more likely to

push any one medication over another. I work in the Urgent care clinic

which is attached to 2 other clinics that are derm and pain managment.

My Boss is the most lovely man who always prefers prolo therapy for

his pain patients over and above any medication. He doesn't even

really prescribe pain meds anymore. He does this new treatment where

they hit trigger points with needles filled with only saline....the

point is to relax the offending muscle not to drug the patient. I have

never met a kinder Dr ever. He in very involved in the church and has

been in New Orleans offering his services for free of course. Not all

of the Dr's are bad. I have to say I work with some really nice ones.

I am blessed though. I know they are not all that way. The fact is

that buying the staff lunches is a common practice that the drug reps

do. It isn't for the patients. The samples we have at my office are

mostly used for patients that can't afford meds and we give them to

them for free. Often they are antibiotics for sick kids like

amoxicillin and such. Oh and allot of allergy meds. The ones I have

the least respect for are the anti depressants but again, people swear

they help them.

anyhow just another take on this that others outside the business may

not every really see or understand.

Take care

Hi ,

I had prolo therapy for a torn rotator cuff and low back problems. I am

definitely a prolo believer. The treatment isn't any fun at all, I choose

to do it unmedicated, but it is highly effective!

Yes I agree the prolo is really helping allot of our patients. I went

through a few rounds of it myself and have been completely free of my

constant past heel pain. I was almost debilitated from it so I am a

firm believer in prolo. My boss is the best in town at it and his

patients love him. He is a really great man. He treats the sickest and

the most difficult cases and they all come back and are so much

better. He really does avoid drugs esp narcotics. I won't say he never

treats anyone with them, but he avoids them most of the time so we

don't have allot of drug seekers. I love the fact that he tries to

listen to his patients too. He doesn't just shove drugs at them and

send them along. We also have another Dr that is into health and

fitness. He is the one I mentioned that wrote a book about timed

eating. He is very into fitness and in fact is competitive in body

building. He does some amazing work with bio identical hormones. I

love my job because after all I went through with implants and bad

Dr's I actually work with some that are more into health and fitness

way of life.

Not that they all are against implants or anything. I work with 5

girls that all have implants, but other than one that has R/A they are

all healthy girls. I can't even begin to imagine why some do and some

don't have problems but it sure is the way it is these days. I used to

believe everyone got sick but I have seen that is def not the case.

The mystery of it all is quite frustrating but I am at peace with it now.

Your smart for not getting them. I was so sick at one time I could

barely get up out of bed and lived with constant pain and dizziness

every day of my life. It was a nightmare, but the funny thing now is

that it seems ike another lifetime ago I have been well for so long

now I know that I was once almost on my death bed but the mind has a

way of just making you forget those bad experiences doesn't it?

I am glad that you know about prolo. Not allot of people are aware of

it or of it's benefits!

hugs,

Couldn't have said it better myself. The attitude is super important

and yes, being too picky and too obsessive is not healthy. I think I

used to be a bit more obssessed with working out and not that I am not

still a big fitness fanatic but I have def mellowed on it and feel

better about myself now. I love to work out but I don't kick myself if

I skip now and then! I do think that living in idaho we have an

advantage in that our dary is across the street from us and the dairy

is hormone free and yummy and that we get allot of things that are

really natural and affordable here, but when i lived in the Bay area

alone and was single I could not afford those stores out there let

alone all organic. Now I have been growing things in my garden and

that is really wonderful. Next year we will have a ton of fresh stuff

and that will help me get more organics.

I also know I need to eat a bit more protein as I have been slacking

on that.

Mel I think your attitude is probably the number one thing mroe than

anything else. So keep working on that and keep positive. I know it

helped me

I believed I would and could get better. Of course marrying the man of

my dreams at 4 month post explant and having him help me feel

beautiful and sexy really helped me too.

Write me on my private email if you want to chat more ok?

Love and hugs
