Hi Melinda. It sounds like you have it down pretty good already. I

had my surgery with Dr. Feng in June and she had mailed me a list of

things to avoid, but most of the food items were only to be avoided

for a few days prior, not the whole 2 weeks. Congrats on being in

the home stretch! Let us know how you recover.

started pre-surgery vitamins(Vita Medica). I recall there was a

protocol for foods that one should avoid before surgery, I think it

was something that Dr. Feng had written up. I can't find the email

and the link to that. Does anyone have it? I had a lot of bleeding

and a hematoma with my BA surgery, so I'd like to be really careful

this time. I've already stopped the blood-thinning foods I can think

of--berries, salmon, garlic. Any help in this area would be greatly

appreciated!

I have the list.

Almonds, apples, apricots, blackberries, boysenberries, cherries, chinese black beans, cucumbers, currants, garlic, ginger, grapes, pickles, prunes, strawberries, raisins, raspberries, tomatoes. If you got the package sent by her office, the list is in there.

Hello All,

I'm scheduled for an explant in exactly two weeks, and have just started pre-surgery vitamins(Vita Medica). I recall there was a protocol for foods that one should avoid before surgery, I think it was something that Dr. Feng had written up. I can't find the email and the link to that. Does anyone have it? I had a lot of bleeding and a hematoma with my BA surgery, so I'd like to be really careful this time. I've already stopped the blood-thinning foods I can think of--berries, salmon, garlic. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks-

Melinda
