Thanks Lea, . . . I think this is one of the problems

the children have as well. . .

Also, long ago, I heard the Vegas (sp?) nerve that

controls some of the upper digestive functions was

affected by breast implants. I haven't heard anything

about that lately.

Gastrointestinal Esophageal Reflux Disease

(GERD)

PLEASE POST

Dear Ladies and Ilena:

Please, let's not dismiss the Harbut study, because it

does make sense. We know that most of the sick women

have Gastrointestinal Esophageal Reflux Disease

(GERD), which leads to Asthma, Bronchitis and

Pneumonia if untreated.

That is what has happened to me...I hope that somebody

is listening! This is my theory only, because I'm not

a doctor, but I believe that the women who were

studied by Dr. Harbut were seen by him possibly after

they had developed GERD! He was then faced with women

who had full-blown Asthma, or could it be

Silicosis...silicone converts to silica...doesn't it?

I have a peer-reviewed article that talks about GERD

that has been caused by silicone breast implants. Why

won't someone listen; we have been hornswoggled by the

IOM and the FDA...and, for that matter, Health Canada!

My tongue burned violently after being explanted, and

before that I was having the worst gastrointestinal

(GI)attacks on earth. In fact, the nasal infections

started twenty years ago after being implanted with

breast implants.

Over a year ago, I developed a dry, nonproductive

cough, which progressively got worse, particularly

with increased shortness of breath, and yet I have

never smoked. Then, last August, I finally went into

respiratory distress. I had been tested for reflux

disease before then and put on Losec.

As many of you know, I was in hospital last Christmas

with Pneumonia and Asthma, plus another Silicone

Fluid-induced Pulmonary Embolism. I am now on a

nebulizer continually, and have been since last

August. I suffer from dyspnea--and have for years--and

I am also positive for MGUS. I am so confused.

Most all of the women I support have severe GI

problems! Who is protecting whom regarding all this?

Please help to sort this mess out. I am not trying to

hurt anyone, but we need some answers. Most of the

doctors who are helping on this forum have not had

breast implants; therefore, they really don't know

what we are suffering from. They must respect and be

prepared to listen to what their peers are telling

them.

With love and respect...

Lea
