Guest guest
Has anyone tried a fast to jump start detoxing? I decided to try a fast that Dr. Kolb recommends on her website..It is a modified fast - organic apple juice, aloe & broth... I am starting today and plan to do 3 days. I hope it will be a jump start for detoxing and for losing weight.
Guest guest
Just be prepared that you may feel incredibly ill from it. the fasting, as a jumpstart, isn't usually reccomended when you are as toxic as we are. kristen --- In , " MollyBloom54 " <mollyb54@b...> wrote: > Has anyone tried a fast to jump start detoxing? Guest guest
Thanks, Lea and , I may can the fast. I already have felt awful this morning, and it is not even noon. I will take the tip about broth in the evening. I am about ready to have scrambled egg (whites)! You are spot on about the eating at night. That has been the time Greg and I have together to relax...and eat! And Lea, he needs to cut it out too. He is not very overweight, but he can afford to lose a few pounds. Neither of us drink, and over the years we would have ice cream as a treat. Before I got sick, I was exercising and didn't gain a lot of weight. That changed, though, and I can't eat the ice cream anymore...I did stop that. But I also have to stop the grazing. I guess one thing at a time. Maybe I will go back to the psyllium before meals detox. I don't know why this is so hard for me. ;-( > Honey, please do not fast because it could make you very sick. Guest guest
Molly . . . Grazing can be very healthy . .. depending on what you eat. . . Eating small portions throughout the day helps maintain blood sugar levels and reduces appetite. If you plan ahead, you can have some healthy snacks ready to eat without guilt. Guest guest
Absolutely....done several fasts. Some with water only, some a juice fast. I can vouch for how effective it was in jumpstarting my final detoxing that led me to recovery of health.
