Guest guest
. . . I don't know why you threw up . . . But you shouldn't be taking Fungal Defense and Primal Defense at the same time. . . Directions call to take one bottle of Fungal Defense. Start with one pill and add one more pill each day, with a full glass of water, until you reach four pills in the morning, and four pills at night. When the bottle is used up, start Primal Defense the same way. It will take, a minimum of several months of Primal Defense. I wouldn't drink any alcohol with either. Just water. Guest guest
Rogene, originally I had taken the fungal alone and then the primal, but after seeing that I was still having an issue i wanted to ad te fungal back in, but the primal was doing wonders for my IBS so I didn't want to stop taking that. You're probably right that I shouldn't take them together at all. And I do drown myself in water daily. : ) I am soooo tired after last night! Guest guest
Hi , I hope you are feeling better this evening. I have to wonder if it isn’t a combination of the supplements and wine. If I drink alcohol, which is extremely rare, I skip my supplements for the night. Wine and beer are terrible for candida so I wouldn’t be surprised if the combination of wine and Fungal Defense was a bad one. Kenda Last night I got violently ill. I threw-up for the first time in nearly 8 years. I do not have the flu and I ate exactly the same things as the rest of the family did the entire day. The only thing that was diferent last night was that I had a glass of merlot with my dinner, then at bedtime I took one Fungal Defense, one Primal defense, and my multi-vitamin. Did the wine make me sick?? Or was it the combination of the wine and the Fungal Defense? I just don't know because I have wine occassionally and I have taken the same combination of pills before. Is there something in wine that the Fungal defense would react with? I was violently ill! I mean like it came up from my toes! But once my stomach cleared out I was feeling fine. Any thoughts? Guest guest
I'm much better now thanks. I think you're right. I rarely have wine with dinner, and this was the first time I've had it since my surgery. If I decide to drink again I will not take my supplements. I'm also not going to take the fungal defense anymore and just remain on the Primal defense and acidophilus.
Guest guest
Okay ladies....Should i be taking acidophalis (sp?) along with primal defense? Doesn't primal defense have the probiotics? arggg > I'm much better now thanks. I think you're right. Guest guest
The Primal does have the probiotics in it. I decided to add the acidophilus because i am still having bad yeast problems. So I take the acidophilus with food and the primal on an empty stomach. I'm just trying different combinations until I find whatever it is my body needs to fight this problem. Guest guest
Thanks, . Good luck with it. I also have yeast problems, and am taking Nystantin. I took the fungal defense but now am on the primal defense. I wonder if that stuff does any good... > The Primal does have the probiotics in it. Guest guest
Well I can tell you this, since taking the primal defense my chronic diarhea is totally gone! If that's the only thing it does for me I am grateful and will take it for life! LOL I took a couple days of diflucan before I started my fungal defense program, and I still have the yeast. but I also know that a lot of that has to do with going off of the diet many times. Now that we have Wholefoods market, I am determined to stick with it. : )
Guest guest
wow.... I'm taking it so I guess I will find out. My yeast problem is better, but I am also taking Nystantin. You may be right about the fast... don't know yet. I am going to stick with a diet, though. I have stopped sugar, which is a good thing since I am 'pre-diabetic'. > Well I can tell you this, since taking the primal defense my chronic > diarhea is totally gone! Guest guest
- Molly I have fasted and it didn't hurt me. In fact the first time I did it I felt incredible. Patty was really helped by fasts. Start one day at a time. EAch day decide if you want to continue. A milder fast is recommended by Jordin Rubin author of the Maker's Diet. He suggests stopping eating by late afternoon or early evening and fastilng until late morning or afternoon the next day. I have done that many times. It is very mild. It gives your body a little break. I have been doing that for the last couple of weeks with watermelon. I quit eating early. Next day I have only watermelon until at least afternoon. The watermelon is loaded with gluthione and is highly alkalinizing and full of water! Plus I have been getting some organic. It is great tasting! Good luck with whatever you decide. Guest guest
It wasn't me. I get a boost alright! The worst herx imaginable. Enzymes really make me in pain. Since I have been following my new protocol I have tried several things that made me herx in the past and have had none or very little. Enzymes I am still afraid to try. Will have to give it more time before I try that again!! It is really funny I react that way because they use enzymes to help with pain! But enzymes are vital to help our bodies detox and I think that is why I get a detox reaction. Hugs, kathy > > > The Primal does have the probiotics in it.
