Hi :

Today was a little better than the day before. No real headaches.

Again I had to work so keeping busy for me appears to be a good

thing. I am taking Calcium and Magnesium - separately as you have

suggested to others. I am also taking a B50 Complex and 1000mg Vit C.

I am going to stay at the 3.75 till my body has completely calmed

down. Should I cut again at some point or just quit at 3.75mg.?

Thank you,

** Things are moving in the right direction, . I'd cut again,

not just discontinue. But yes, do give yourself some time to settle in and

become stabilized before doing this. There's no need to make it any more

difficult than it already is.

Dear Gerry,

You said:

<<Before she started on ssri's she had mild anxiety and a

learning disability however now (present day) we are dealing with a

15year old consumed with the thought of suicide, depression, very

anxious, compulsive and mood swings. If anyone can offer

suggestions we are desperate for a way out of this nightmare.>>

** I can help you but I'll need more background on this. How quickly

are you reducing Zoloft? Was she taken off Paxil immediately and placed on

Zoloft when this switch occurred? Don't do any more decreases of Zoloft at

this point in time. Some of her symptoms are also due to withdrawal.

Can you tell me more about " consumed with the thought of suicide,

depression, very

anxious, compulsive and mood swings " ? Is this every day? How prone was she

to any of these things before? When being compulsive what does she do?

How often does she mention suicide? What else does she say about it?

The goal right now would be to stabilize her. Use of homeopathic

remedies

Any other info you can give will help.

Regards,

It probably IS the drugs causing all the problems. Just stick around

and you'll find good advice on how to take her off the drugs.

The bad news is obvious (your 15 yr. old daughter has been given

legal drugs which have her realy messed up)BUT....there is GOOD

NEWS...and that is this: You have found THIS GROUP!! Words can never

express the gratitude my family feels towards and the

people who make up this group! Had we not stumbled upon these folks

my son would probably be locked up in a padded cell somewhere or

strapped down to a bed. I am not exaggerating, not even a little!

My son is still not " out of the woods " ..We continue to slowly

reduce his paxil doseage...but he's doing it with much fewer side

effects than before. I won't kid you...it's not easy..but it's the

only way out of the paxil (SSRI) nightmare. I quickly realized there

were no acceptable alternatives.

Follow 's advise, as far as I'm concerned she is the next

best thing to a " miracle " ..and finding her in the middle of

cyberspace may even qualify as a bit of a miracle in itself.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Blessings~~

Cheryl
