Wow, that's interesting. Rheumy had me go out and schedule his

next appt and said he would be back to go over the forms w/me in detail

and have me sign them......and he was gone for quite awhile.......i figured

he was putting things in motion. I didnt hear anything yesterday

but figured when they did call me to schedule that I would be SURE that

it was approved by ins FIRST.

Thanks for the heads up and I'll let you knowhow I make out

Ladies,

Just wanted to tell you I'm going to be scarce for a

little while . . . If you want to get my attention,

please put my name in the subject line because I won't

have time to read every message for a little while!

Traveling, class and dental surgery . . . I'll check

in when I can.

Love to all,

Rogene

Rogene, have fun traveling and good luck in class. What are you studying?

I feel so sorry for you about the dental surgery - ugh. That is no fun!

Hi Molly,

I'm in Oklahoma city, preparing for a weekend of

square dancing. We dance at the challenge level. That

means, in order to dance we travel quite a lot! . . .

Square dancing is drawing increasingly smaller crowds.

So, to find a group, and a caller, we travel!

I'm taking a pottery class. Love it! . . . I do a lot

of it at home, but spend Mondays at school, either

glazing, or making glazes, whatever needs to be done.

This starts my third year of class. . . I did two

years 27-28 years ago! Wish I had stayed with it!

The dental surgery is freaking me out! . . . I'll get

through it. I've turned everything over to my hubby to

make sure I do what I need to do, and get through it.

I can't bear to think about it!

I just have a few minutes to run through messages . .

.. The hotel lobby has a computer I can use.

Love,

Rogene

Hi Rogene,

Are you passing through Tulsa on your way home? If so, let me know, maybe we can meet up this time! :)

Hi Rogene,

Square dancing looks like fun, although I have never done it. It also looks

like a lot of

exercise!

The pottery class really sounds like fun. That is something I would like to do,

someday.

It sounds like you have quite a bit of knowledge in this area. I'll be it is

very rewarding to

see the finished results.

What kind of dental surgery are you having? I have been through so much dental

surgery,

and it is never fun. Ice is a key!! It's easy to just want to crawl in bed and

forget it, but ice

really makes a difference.

Take care and have a wonderful time with square dancing.

Molly,

They are cutting back the gums so I can get access to

some areas that are forming pockets where bacteria can

hide. . . . Half my mouth at a time! OUCH!!!

I'll be using plenty of ice! . . . Interestingly this

dentis emphasises using vitamin C, not using vitamin E

(bleeding), avoiding sugar, and eating nutritious

foods. First doctor who was at all interested in what

I ate.

That sounds like a good dentist! Or periodontist, I presume...

You will be sore - but ice will help a lot.

Good luck!! Let me know how you are doing...

Travelling sounds fun. Where are you going? Dental surgery not so

fun. What are you having done? Patty just had a root canal. What

class are you taking? Hope all goes good!

Yes, it's true, I just had a root canal. Actually, not one, but two.

I was so torn about this. I absolutely stalled as long as I could on

this one, believing against all odds that I was going to beat this

thing and not have to have a root canal. I spent 4 long months in pain

that got increasingly worse to the point of agonizing and bringing me

to tears. (Not to mention popping ibuprofen like candies, which was

against my principles as well.) My husband came home one day and

found me crying in pain and he called the dentist and asked for an

appt right then and there. When it came down to it, that's the only

thing that could help, or else pull the tooth. I really had a hard

time saying go ahead. To make things worse, after going through the

first root canal, the pain didn't go, and so I had a second root canal

a week later on the next tooth, the back molar. I am just getting

over that, and scared, because the pain isn't totally gone yet. It

should be, because the nerve is supposed to be gone. And that second

root canal was a killer. They could not get me numb and must have

shot me up about 4 times, including straight into the pulp of the

tooth. This dental stuff is something I can do without!

Rogene, I feel for you. I have never had major dental issues before

now. After going through those 2 root canals, I know I never want to

have major dental issues again!

COnsider yourself extremely fortunate if you have not had to make

these decisions. I thought my good luck with my dental health was

going to last. NOT! I still have my pretty teeth, but yikes, I am

beginning to wonder what the future holds!

Hi Rogene and Ladies,

I've been scarce too...but I hope to be able to spend

more time on my

computer next month. My son is here from Japan, on a

30 day leave

before he heads over to Iraq. I need to spend this

time with him.

We will be going to San Diego next weekend. We just

got back from

visiting family in Tucson.

Rogene, I hope you are doing well since your ear

surgery and that

things are back to normal for you.

God bless,

Patty

Patty, have a wonderful visit with your son. You need to take time for your family. Honey, you give so much, and please do not feel guilty about not posting. I am sorry that I am not helping very much, but our home is under construction. The men have the kitties and locked in a bedroom to protect us from any chemicals.

We all love and thank you for just being there......Lea
