No, Rogene...I haven't heard of this procedure. I started having swallowing difficulties around 15 years into the silicone implants (since removed) and the problem continues to this day.

Two weeks ago I had a test by swalloing barium which in turns lights up under x-rays and was told that I have an acid reflux tumor.

Thanks Shirley,

I've had choking problems for many years too. There is

a spot in the back of my throat that, if I get

something on it, starts me choking. My hubby has saved

me twice! . . .

I've found that coarse foods - like granola, are more

likely to cause a problem. Chewing foods thoroughly

seems to be the only thing that helps.

Hugs,

Rogene

Hi Rogene,

So, that's what husbands are good for...I think I'll get one...cause, I've had to save myself several times with the heimlick maneuver.

My problem usually starts with meat, especially roast beef and chicken...and eating in a hurry.

I found it very strange too when I got implants, that suddenly, I

found myself choking more on things. It was like things were going

down the wrong hatch and I would have a coughing fit until I could get

things back to normal. It was very odd, and I had no clue as to why

it was happening. I was clueless then, but I am not now! I am not

suer what exactly happens physiologically, but it seems weird that the

esophogus is an area of concern for so many kids too.
