Guest guest
Wow. What a small world, and how similar our experiences can be. long life, old age, everything good-Apache prayer ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Sunday, March 1, 2009 8:20:48 PM Subject: Re: Lyncia I have to share this story. My boyfriend fell out of a tree and broke his rib during a big ice storm we had here about a year ago. Anyway, he was on heavy duty pain pills but was on the mend pretty good. He called me at work and said he had to go to ER because he was feeling terrible! He had been constipated for awhile because of the pain pills but was taking stool softener etc. to relieve his problem. I was getting worried about him. I rushed home to take him to ER. We got there and were just about to walk in the door and nature decided to call at that very moment. He ran to the bathroom in ER and came out and we left cause he was fine after that. It was pretty humorous at the time. Roni > When I first started ot poop, I would say " I'm a big girl now! Guest guest
Yes you can. She is the most well adjusted puppy I have ever seen and she takes very good care of me. Before I found out that I had this disease, I would fall and she would sit at my head until I was able to get up......licking me..... Lyncia My life is really different now, but it is my life to redefine. Guest guest
She is so adorable! Can I have her? LOL What is she? A Maltese, Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu? My is a Shih Tzu, and Zoe looks exactly like my father-n-law's dog who is also a Shih Tzu. When I was so sick running to the bathroom all the time to lose my cookies before my transplant, ran to the bathroom with me and sometimes lost her cookies too right beside me...lol. Guest guest
Hi Lyncia. I'm glad to see that you are ok from the nose bleed but sorry to hear of the depression. I was already drawing SSI for depression & anxiety when I was diagnosed with Hep C. It's ok to feel a little sorry for yourself. You're dealing with a lot. Hope you get to feeling better. Best wishes~~~Debbie > > > > > > From: robwalkingeagle@ yahoo.com <robwalkingeagle@ yahoo.com> > > > Subject: Re: Jan-morphine for pain > > > To: livercirrhosissuppo rtyahoogroups (DOT) com > > > Date: Tuesday, March 24, 2009, 3:24 PM > > > > > > Morphine can do just the opposite for both Sharon and I. Guest guest
Thanks! I will check that with my coordinator tomorrow and let you know. lml Lots of hugs and kisses to everyone. Lyncia From: abijann <no_reply > Subject: Lyncia To: livercirrhosissupport Date: Sunday, April 19, 2009, 6:18 PM I think cirrhosis patients should have their thyroid hormone levels checked to be sure they haven't gone into the low range. Cirrhosis does, in itself, make a person tired...but if the thyroid isn't functioning well...it can add to it. When people have CT scans done to check the kidneys and some other organs...they use radio-iodine so they can see more clearly on the films. " Too much " iodine can cause the thyroid to not function well. I ask what kind of dye or contrast they intend to use and I try to be sure that these types of tests are not done frequently if contrast is needed. Guest guest
Abijann - tell everybody that he beat you up. When I leave the hospital, I am usually bruises all over. Ed won't let me take off my hospital bracelet until we get home, because I love to tell people in restaurants and stores that he beat me up. After you do it once, you make a trade off with him, you won't tell people he beats you if he doesn't give you such a bad time about falling.
