Guest guest
kristen I was just researching camu because I have some and I thought I read it was good for depression and wanted to see. I got it because someone told me it was good for migraines. Anyway, I came across that it is good for the chickenpox virus! See what I copied below. It was Nye's work and he is well respected: " Camu-camu is at the top of Null's list of plants with medicinal effectiveness against the herpes virus. All forms of the herpes virus lie dormant at the base of the spine and become active when the immune system is stressed beyond its ability to respond effectively against pathenogens. Common stressors include emotional upsets, other illnesses, prescription drugs, insufficient rest, poor diet, menstrual periods, vaginal yeast infections, and too much sunlight on the skin. Genital herpes is usually transmitted sexually. The principal anti-viral pharmaceutical medicine is acyclovir which has unpleasant and even toxic side effects. The herpes virus takes a number of different forms and is widespread today as a public health problem in the United States. More than 50% of the U.S. population gets cold sores, which is the result of the herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV1). Many people also suffer from shingles, which is a remanifestation of the chicken pox virus in adulthood in a new form. " HOpe this helps. I also just found this: Health care practitioners report that a premium quality Camu-Camu has provided very effective nutritional support for putting shingles into remission, cutting the expected time for reduction of symptoms in half, by supporting the body's natural defenses. Users report that " cold sores, " resolve in one day, genital herpes will often resolve in 48 hours, and the Epstein-Barr type of chronic fatigue will show some improvement in one or two weeks. Camu-Camu may also be taken on a daily basis to provide highly effective support the body's immune defenses against the herpes virus when it is lies dormant in the body. In one case of genital herpes in a 45-year-old woman in which the outbreaks happened about every six weeks, the woman started taking 2 capsules a day of Royal Camuâ„¢ and went without an occurrence for over a year before she experienced another outbreak. Since that time, about 12 months ago, she has not had another outbreak.* "
