adrenals, thyroid

I wanted to share some things I have read about (and heard) over the

past many months searching for my hormonal balance (and not having

much relief in the female hormone area)....

I have heard (and have read) that if the adrenal functioning is not

fixed initially, and then the thyroid function, that the balancing of

the female hormones will elude one.

For me, I was placed on hormones, then thyroid and now am working on

the adrenals. It was done backwards for me and thus I have had a

very rocky road.

Since starting on the adrenal support, I have begun to notice a

difference in how my body is actually utilizing all the hormones.

I read a study in a medical journal (the study was done on animals,

so who knows how it will play out in humans) that said adrenal issues

can cause " false menopause. "

(this hit home for me because it was what seemed to happen with

me...long story so I will spare you all!)

But to get to my point......I have had to perform much

reading/research myself on adrenals and thyroid.

And then had to search high and low for a Dr that understands the

full picture of the endocrine system and its complexities (the

addition or negation, the deficiency or too much of, one hormone

effects all the others).

Beside the thyroid websites (stop the thyroid madness and about

thyroid) I found another that helped me to assess (by symptoms) my

thyroid/adrenal issues....and it is pretty much right on for me!

The web-site is: http://www.drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.asp

Don't know if this will hit home for anyone else, but always think

the more information one has can be helpful.
