Guest guest
Molly, It's very doubtful insurance would pay for a home infrared sauna . . . They would probably pay for it done as therapy. However, you can build your own unit . . . You can convert a closet . . . use untreated wood paneling with the lights recessed into the paneling, a bench, a light and a means of venting and you're in business . .. . You could probably do one for under $500. A timer/thermostat/radio would be nice extras! There are some online directions . . . Just be sure you're looking at " Far Infrared " . The lights generate the heat in your body. Additional heaters are not necessary. Energy-wise, they take very little electricity.
