Guest guest
Don’t stress over the diagnosis, Molly. Do lots of detoxing and you’ll likely beat the fibro. That’s how I beat it, 100%! Kenda I am really frustrated. I got copies of my rheumatologist' records. She wrote that in addition to all the other stuff, I have fibromyalgia. Nobody ever mentioned that to me - certainly she never did. Arggg. I don't even know what fibromyalgia IS. Guess it is googling time. > Molly, > > I'd suggest getting tested for Celiac disease. Guest guest
Molly, Never, never say that! There are so many, you don’t even want to know. You will get through this and beat it! I can’t even remember the list of diseases I beat with diet and nutrition alone. Out of all of them I still have Interstitial Cystitis but it is 95% better than what it used to be. If I can do it, you can do, it just takes dedication and commitment. Kenda Yes, I guess I will. It's just plain depressing. how many more diagnsoses are there.. > >> > Molly, > >> > > >> > I'd suggest getting tested for Celiac disease. Guest guest
Molly, FM is a syndrome . . . a syndrome is a collection of symptoms with enough in common to be given a name. Get your implants out, detox, and, chances are you can forget about FM as long as you take care of yourself. The worst part is that is messes up possible future insurance coverage since, as far as conventional medicine is concerned, it's " incurable " ! NOT! Guest guest
Molly, When you do get much better, I'd suggest going back to your doctor. Ask her/him to check you out thoroughly and correct their records. . . or show proof that your actually have those diseases! It could mean mega buck in insurance premiums later down the line. Guest guest
Molly, I don’t want to discourage you but I tried it and even sent a letter to an insurance company from a different doctor saying I was fine and in excellent health. Do you think they cared? All they cared about was that one doctor thought I was sick at one time. No one would even discuss it with me. Kenda You don't think any doctor will come up with a different diagnosis? A different doctor? You are probably right, though. > Rogene, > > You must be kidding! Guest guest
No, you’re not whining, you’re just ticked off, and justifiably so. I got my medical records from my MD several years ago and felt like you do now. I was appalled at the contents, things he had never discussed with me. I know you mentioned that you are overweight and would like to lose weight. I think by losing weight alone, you will feel much better. Remember, toxins are stored in fatty tissue. Kenda Thanks, Kenda. I know there are. I just saw the med records and was ticked off. Connective tissue disease (lupus, doc said but did not document it), multiple sclerosis, hashimoto's thyroiditis, fibromalagia.... harumph. I am whining, I know. I'll get over it. I will start a cleanse - going to get some more info on it. > >>>>> > >> > Molly, > >>>>> > >> > > >>>>> > >> > I'd suggest getting tested for Celiac disease. Guest guest
I have had great luck with homeowner’s insurance but not with medical insurance. It seems even if you do have medical coverage, you have to stay on them to get them to pay claims the way they are supposed to. I have written to our state’s insurance commissioner once for my company and once for my family’s. It’s amazing how quickly they respond to insurance commission complaints! I haven’t had a problem with either one since! Kenda Can't say I am surprised. After all, it IS insurance. > >> > Rogene, > >> > > >> > You must be kidding! Guest guest
Hi, again, Don’t think of it as a diet, think of it as a lifestyle change. If you adopt a lifestyle change, it is permanent. Choose to eat healthy most of the time and occasionally have a treat, something really special to you. If you get rid of all the foods that truly give you pleasure, you won’t be able to stick with it over the long run. Eat right and exercise and have your ice cream — once in a while. I truly love really good ice cream, it is my big cheat. I never eat grocery store brands. Do you have Maggie Moo’s there? I eat Maggie Moo’s every few weeks and have a kiddie cup. I don’t crave it if I have it every once in a while and I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself. I don’t eat candy, chips, cookies or other garbage — just my occasional ice cream and I really love it when I have it. My trainer at the gym tells me that if we eat right 80% of the time, we’re doing really, really well so don’t expect to be perfect. Kenda Thanks for understanding. I am ticked off. Why don't doctors TELL us these things? Harumph. I know the weight MUST go. And it will!! My doc told me to go to an endo, because she said part of the problem is that i had a lot of tests that showed things out of whack. Still, I am starting a diet. No more ice cream. Guest guest
Maggie Moo’s is a chain ice cream store. We have a new one that just opened up a few weeks ago. How about sorbet instead of ice cream? I made an orange/lemon sorbet last weekend that was all juice from fruit, fruit juice concentrate and a bit of lemon and orange zest — no sweeteners at all. I also took some raspberries and pureed them with a tiny bit of honey and drizzled it on top. It was really good and actually healthy! Dinner sounds good. Kenda I have not seen maggie moo - will look at whole foods. We are starting to eat better. I have stopped getting candy & snacks. For awhile, I think I need to leave ice cream alone. (Boo hiss. my husband got me some tonight, because he thought it would help the 'blues'). Well, it was not a lot. We had fish tonight, and spinach salad, with strawberries & kiwi. > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>> > >> > Molly, > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>> > >> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>> > >> > I'd suggest getting tested > for Celiac disease. Guest guest
Molly, The thing that irks me so bad is that doctors will load one up with medications . . . watch them get sicker. But never bring up the necessity for excellent nutrition and cleansing the GI tract. Many serious " illnesses " would respond to just basic care. Instead, conventional medicine appears to be more invested in managing the symptoms, rather than preventing or curing illness. While making the drug companies wealthy! Guest guest
Molly, I forgot you already have your implants out! Good for you! Fungal defense calls for starting with one tablet the first day and increasing one more each day until you are taking four in the morning and four at night. By the time you finish one bottle, you should be ready for Primal Defense started the same way. You'll need to take Primal Defense for months. The organisms in Fungal Defense are intended to kill off the negative organisms, while Primal Defense are intended to repopulate your system with positive organisms. I'm afraid Fungal Defense would cancel the benefits of Primal Defense. Other excellent products for getting rid of the bad organisms are Oil of Oregano (start with just a few drops and build up), Olive Leaf Oil and fresh, raw, crushed garlic. Eating naturally fermented foods also helps replace beneficial organisms. Like sauerkraut . . . I need to retype the recipe I have. Rubin recommends eating a tablespoon several times a day. It's delicious raw! I think Patty makes Kelfir (sp?). Also, you can make your own yogurt if you can get the organic ingredients. When our immune system gets suppressed, these negative organisms thrive while the beneficial organisms get killed off. This keeps us from getting the nutrition from our foods we need while the fungal organisms cause havoc. Getting these in balance is essential to getting better. Unfortunately, sugar feeds the fungal organisms. That's why it's so important to eliminate surgar from ones diet. You can expect to experience some serious sugar cravings when you first start. After a few weeks the cravings leave - then sweets lose their appeal. And, when you do eat some, they will seems grossly sweet. Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I was doing the same thing Molly was, taking both Fungal and Primal Defense. I ordered another bottle of Fungal Defense last night so I can start over. I read the directions for Primal Defense and they are different than Fungal Defense. With Primal Defense, you take one capsule per day initially and gradually build up to one three times per day, rather than eight per day, like Fungal Defense. Also, oil of oregano can be purchased in capsules as well as liquid. I think it’s a bit easier to take in capsule form, although I always feel like I’m eating Italian food when I take it. I have never been able to stand the smell of sauerkraut and have never even tasted it. Does it taste different than it smells? I read The Maker’s Diet but haven’t been able to bring myself to try it. I found a neat website for making homemade cheese and yogurt yesterday but I was at my husband’s office and didn’t write down the website. I used to make yogurt years ago. It’s very easy and was really good! I eat plain yogurt nearly every day and ought to make my own. Kenda Molly, I forgot you already have your implants out! Good for you! Guest guest
Molly, I agree there are medications that save lives . . . However, many conditions never reach the point where medication is required if lifestyle changes are made. I did take eight Primal Defense eight a day . . . four in the morning, and four at night. . . I finally bought a case of Primal Defense after messing around for about a year. (www.appleadayandbeyond.com sold it by the case by phone - big discount) Before, I would use up a bottle, and wait to see if symptoms started again . . . They did. Then I'd have to start back with Fungal Defense all over again! I used 10 of the 12 large bottles before I reached a point where I don't need to take them regularly. If I had been more religious about my diet, I could have saved myself much money and time! It may not take you that many, or that long . . . You'll know as you go. I think adding digestive enzymes to my diet helped a lot! . . . The idea is to replenish the beneficial bacteria that have been killed off by antibiotics/steroids/ suppressed immune system. Some bacteria may never be replaced. That's why it's so important to limit medications like antibiotics to necessary usage only. Often garlic or Oil of Oregano can take care of the problem with out causing more problems. I'm having dental surgery soon . . . I have to take antibiotics before and after the surgery . . . I'm very anxious over taking them. I'll be doing everything possible to counter their effects. One thing interesting thing though . . . The dental surgeon is cautioning against eating sugar, and stressing the importance of eating nutritious foods. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Hi Molly, You are very fortunate, just keep reminding yourself. Walking just a few minutes per day will really help you. You can gradually build up your endurance and eventually you can run again. Just be patient with yourself. Kenda Kenda, You are absolutely right - need to focus on where I'm going. I am doing that much better than I did. Obviouisly, I have a ways to go! The last couple of years just seem like a nightmare. I know how fortunate I am, though, to be alive, to have a good husband and friends. Exercise - oh boy. I used to jog regularly, and loved to exercise. I gained so much weight, and I hurt so much that I have not exercised lately at all. I have tried to walk even a few minutes, and was doing that until I got sick again with a virus...then boom. So, I need to start again. What I want to do is to get in a habit of walking just a few minutes a day. I also know how much that affects mood. I look forward to getting hte Maker's Diet. I also love the South Beach book. Right now my biggest problem is getting any kind of a sleep schedule. This last month I really got out of whack. SO I need to pick up the tuckus and get moving!@ > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>> > >> > Molly, > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>> > >> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>>>>>>>> > >>>>> > >> > I'd > >>> > > suggest getting tested > >>>>> > >> > for Celiac disease. Guest guest
I find great deals in ebay stores. If you go to ebay and find a book you like, check in the right hand corner to see if they have an ebay store. Many combine shipping charges.
