Guest guest
I wanted to add one more note about this whole experience and why I was so much on the fence about getting this root canal. Of course, I had read the books by Dr. Hal Hugggins ( " It's All in your Head, and " Uninformed Consent " ) and heard about " Root Canal Cover-Up " , and just really had thought that I would never allow myself to get a root canal. It sounded as bad as breast implants with the promises that didn't deliver. My dentist is a holistic one. He does not do root canals himself. He refers them out to a specialist, and in fact, it was the endodontist that did his root canals for him. What had me on the fence was my dentist's wife. She told me that she had been very, very sick at one time (and they've always been interested in my breast implant work, so I am not sure what connection there is there....) and that after she had her root canals removed, (she had 3 or 4), her health improved greatly. That was a testimony that carried some weight with me. But the idea of tooth implants (if I opted to remove the affected tooth) and shifting or teeth falling out due to spaces from the missing teeth really left me wondering what the best options were. I guess there are none. I just thought the dentist's wife's testimony was worthy of consideration. I guess bottom line is that if the root canals affect my health in negative ways, or my health declines from here, I can always get them out. How many of you have had to suffer through root canals since implants? Patty > Yes, it's true, I just had a root canal. Actually, not one, but two. > I was so torn about this.
