Rogene,

I hope you are feeling better soon!

I am, thankfully, finally, pain free in my mouth, after 4 long months

of suffering. No more ibuprofen for me. I am so happy!

How long is your healing expected to take?

Thanks Patty,

I really don't know how long this is going to take.

I'm not in much pain as discomfort.

The deep cleaning (scaling) took over two weeks to

feel comfortable eating (for each side). This

procedure was much more extensive. And, when it's

well, they do the other half.

I'm feeling better today, but very depressed. . .

probably as much from what I'm seeing on the news as

the effects of surgery. Too much TV time! Still don't

feel like doing my pottery or anything else.

Oh well, I'll come around! I'll be so glad when this

is all behind me!

Love,

Rogene

Well, Rogene, the hurricane has downgraded to a Cat-4?

Um....you could have had your teeth pulled?

I'm just being punchy. Pamper yourself. I treated myself to ice cream, but

then that is

probably a 'treat' I need to stop. ;-)

Molly,

This dental surgery is a cure for icecream . . . or

anything hot or cold! . . . Very, very sensitive!

The good news is that I'm going to live . . . the bad

news is that I'm going to be miserable for a while!

If only I had been listening better when they told me

to floss and massage my gums regularly!

Hugs,

Rogene

Boy do I know that one Rogene -- I wish I had flossed and taken better care of

my teeth,

also. I sure do now!!

Yes, I suppose it is a little soon for ice cream. I'm just an ice cream fanatic

and I think it a

lot now that I am trying to stay away from it!!

You will live, my dear. You will feel better before you know it...Hang in

there.

I'm feeling better . . . as long as I don't eat, talk,

or think about it! . . .

If I could just go into hibernation until it's healed!

Rogene

You are in my prayers for a good recovery! I know what you mean

about being depressed at the news. I find myself crying every

morning as I read the paper (I suspect hormones are involved in this

also!).

Thanks Kathy . . . I'm ready to recover . . . Any time

now! . . . I wish I had both sides done at once so I

didn't have to go through this stage again!

They said I could start using heat instead of ice

tomorrow - so it's off to the sauna I go!

Hugs,

Rogene
