Their toll free number is 1-866-874-6099-Dow Corning Settlement Facility.

They went backrupt many many years before you had your implanted. Yours is

" new and improved " . 10 years ago I was reading the Sunday paper and Dow had

1 full-blown page. I filled out the appropriate info-my file is as big as 4

folders. First, of all write or call and get a copy of the surgeon's actual

operating notes. Mine had a Dow Corning actual package along with serial #s

on it. Then I went and researched and found my primary care doctor (that

knows my family) has known about it and said he didn't think ENOUGH SILICONE

had come out. Well, yea 75% empty and he initialed off my records. I did

not say anything until I transfer my file to another doctor. The GYN that

ordered the tests just said it was cloudy and they could not see. My mother

died of breast cancer because an imaging center misdiagnosed her cancer. I

have seen up front and personal her fight for 2 years. As I did her hair

and make-up I promised her again I would get to the bottom of this. I am

also a grievous counselor for 5 years. I am still a college student trying

to finish my degree and get licensed in Social Services and Psy, YOU GET

YOUR RECORDS AND I WILL WALK YOU THROUGH THIS, OKAY.

Lesley,

If you're still having a difficult time with grief

over your mother's death, I recommend a book " Final

Gifts " . . . Written by two hospice nurses. It's a

wonderful book that helps understand the dying

process. It should help anyone who has lost someone

they love find peace.

Hugs,

Hello Lesley,

My name is Sue and I live in England near London.

The surgeon I used was Chapman from the Blackheath hospital he is also a plastic surgeon at St ` in London.

He does the en bloc removal and uses drains for two days, his major downfall is he does not believe in the problems we have. The Blackheath hospital I found to be very good, all the staff friendly and helpful. Chapman also saw me after the removal whenever I rang for an appointment, I got copies of my removal report that stated all scar capsule removed and I also got my implants back.

If you need any more help please write to me, I will send you Dawn Beavens email address.

Take care Sue.

Hi Donna,

All I can really remember about my surgery for removal was the fact it was much more painful having them PUT IN than out. I can honestly say it was not at all painful, but I was so ecstatic at having them out the relief was enormous. I loved waking up having these warm natural breasts that I could lie on and feel. I had my implants (silicone) in for nine years, my scar capsule was very thin so it makes you wonder where all that leaking silicone went!

This is a wonderful group with so many really knowledgeable women who I know will be able to help you regain your life. Good for you that you have managed to research so well, when I had problems years`ago I did not have the internet and relied on the information I got from a magazine about a women in my position, I knew nothing about dettoxing or diet which is why its taking me so long to get well. That said after the removal I improved almost instantly, so much so I was able to work again after a while.

I hope all goes well for you keep in touch, and ask the ladies all the questions you want, you will see they really know their stuff.

Love Sue.

Hi Sue,

I am new to the group (1 week) and am scheduled to have surgery Oct 14 for silicone implants that have leaked for 4 years. I researched on my own and asked my primary care doctor why was not told? He said it was not enough. I am getting my 2nd MRI-the most high powered one in ville, Florida that will even show my skeleton, early detention of cancer, and where is my leakage gone to. They say it is in my scar tissue but being lied to for so long I trust noone. How long was your surgery and tell me about the pain. They are going through my arm pits again. I am 49.

Thanks,

Donna

Sue,

Thank God for people like you to comfort someone like me. I know God has a purpose for everyone that believes. This angel of a network should be called, "Angel Support Group". There are angels that walk amongst us and I think I have met a few on this support group.

Donna,

I've never heard of a proper removal (en bloc) done

through the armpit. . . . I can't imagine how the

doctor could remove the capsules and all the leaking

silicone with an armpit incision. Please question your

doctor thoroughly about what he/she plans to do.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene
