Guest guest
Hello All, I am posting here with a prayer that maybe the right person reads this! I bought myself Saline Mghan Textured implants for my 30th Birthday in 2000. They changed my life and the way I felt about my body in a dramatic, fantastic way. Today things are different. As I look back, the problems started shortly after getting the implants, and have peaked as of now. I am no doubt disabled, but unable to file for benefits since the Drs I've seen are all still unable to agree with a Diagnosis now. One says Fibromyalgia..the other Systemic Lupus..Now I learn about all of this, too. I don't know whether or not to even mention my implants now for fear of losing my health coverage! I've live with all of the following: Migraines, Severe joint pain and swelling, (MRI's showed I have bursitis, arthritis, and degenerative disk disease.) I have extreme fatigue no matter how much I'm able to rest. The less I rest, the worse my pain becomes. The pain is so unbearable sometimes, yet no-one seems to understand or is able to help. My hair has fallen out in clumps, and then grown back very fine. My hair thickened and my pain and inflammation has only responded to prednisone. My fingers and toes are numb, and my legs and feet also become numb often. My ankles swell periodically and look like they are sprained. (However, My rheumatologist ruled out Rhematoid arthritis) I get sores in my mouth, and have even gotten sores in my nasal passage. I try not to complain, but it is near impossible at times. Some days it is a struggle just to do the simplest things. I hate the idea of removing my implants, but if I knew it would end some of my suffering I'd do it in a heartbeat. It just seems to me that most people do not improve after having them removed, plus they also have severe psychological issues over it. I am just praying for some answers...at least a diagnosis if not to get better. Thank you all, in Arizona
Guest guest
, I'd suggest getting those implants out ASAP! . . . Believe it or not, things can get worse. If you still have job and insurance, you are well ahead of many women. Chances are, fibromyalgia is why you hurt worse after not moving about . . . You must keep moving, stretching, regardless of how badly it hurts. The alternative is to hurt much worse. However, do not overdo it. Stretch gently . . . exercise moderately. . .. even if it's just a few minutes at a time. Most women who have had implants also have a systemic fungal/Candida problem . . . Learn everything you can about it . . . Suggested reading " The Yeast Connection " . There are supplements that help, but diet is critical. NO sugar, refined grains, processed foods. You will need to find a doctor who will remove your implants properly. Most will take the easy way out while telling you that removing your implants won't help. . . They need to be removed " en bloc " . . . We have a list of doctors who know how to remove them properly. . . But that doesn't mean there aren't others! If you have any questions, you'll find this group well informed and very supportive. We really want to help you get well! Guest guest
I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. You are one of so many women, myself included, who thought they were doing something good for themselves---and were deceived by doctors telling us how harmless implants really are. Your symptoms are so common among implanted women. YOu definitely have reason to hope. You are wrong in your statement about most women not getting better after explant. As a matter of fact, most women get majorly better after explanting and detoxing. Some women get completely well. Even those who don't are very glad to have their lives back. If you read the archives, you will see the vast majority of women improve. And the overwhelming majority of women are not psychologically distressed. In fact, many women here are very happy with their perky smaller breasts which feel soft and normal. Even those who have had to deal with small or flat breasts again seldom regret having the implants out. I AM ONE OF THEM!! I was the most flat person I have ever known. And believe me, I have seen alot of other women to compare with. But I am so happy to have my implants out and be well again!! I don't care so much that my breasts are flat again--I am filled with gratitude for life! Like you, I had many symptoms. I thought I was dying. I was diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease with lupus and scleroderma symptoms. I also had fms. I had joint pain, rashes, tight skin, dry skin, numbness, tingling, severe hand and arm pain, altered sensation in my fingertips, raynauds, tight tendons everywhere, severe persistent dizziness and brain fog, heart palpatations and high heart rate, extreme fatigue, eye flashes, dry eyes, severe constipation, stomach pain, nausea, weight loss, and the list goes on and on. Within 2 weeks of explant my heart rate dropped to normal and the weird brain dysfunction left. I have tried many things to detox, get rid of candida, and mycoplasma which I tested positive for. Most of my symptoms are gone. Those that are left are manageable and I am still working on them as I know that I will get completely well. Before explant, I couldn't go shopping or even sit through a movie, today I walk 4 miles with no problem, shop the whole day, etc. If you want your life back, you will have to get the implants out. And you will probably have to detox, take supplements, cleanses and change your nutrition. But life is not worth living when you are in pain all the time. Do not let anyone convince you that it won't matter if you get your implants out. The vast majority will tell you that it does! Guest guest
Oh , Your letter whisks me back in time to the days when I had those coveted implants in my chest. Yes, they also changed my life in a dramatic, fantastic way too. Hmmm, I'd forgotten the euphoria I had felt when I was finally able to fill out a " D " bra. It seems eons ago now. I got sick so fast, it seems a blur, those few months that I was still a healthy, vibrantly strong woman with implants. So, now you are at that horrible place that I found myself so suddenly. Sicker than sick, unable to enjoy life anymore, wondering what on God's green earth was going on with my body, why nobody knew what was happening, why I couldn't' function anymore, why I could not feel rested, how I was going to take care of my family, and on and on the questions in my mind loomed. It was a nightmare. I am so sorry you are at that place. Let me give you some hope. I think we have some answers for you. Maybe not a diagnosis of disease, but we can at least get at the root of your problem, which is toxicity from the implants, and once you take care of that, your chances for healing are much better. So, there is a good chance that you can get better. So many of us have done so. Are you still on prednisone? The bad news is that you are going to have to do some leg work and looking outside the box of traditional medicine to find a path of healing. The good news is that with some effort, education and a little bit of spiritual strength and resolve, you may be able to slowly climb out of this pit. Prayer and faith help tremendously, but good old fashioned common sense in using natural healing methods are invaluable. I hope this helps you. Yes, you have to remove the implants. None of us really wanted to have to do that either. Psychologically we all deal with it in our own way, but it really helps if you can view yourself the way God sees you. He made you. He loves you just the way you are. He adores you in fact. Breasts do not make us who we are, but even so, I realize that we all stress about how we look. It's part of our human nature. There are excellent plastic surgeons out there who can do a skillful job at removing implants and leave you looking fantastic. So, you really don't have anything to fear about explant, especially if you learn to appreciate your body for the wonderful incredible thing it is. Please continue to share your concerns, and we will be here to help you however we can!
