Guest guest
Kenda, Thank you for sharing your information. I think I have decided to not get the saline since I've already had the silicone (explanted in 1992) and I'm still sick. Dr. Kolb acted like she could get me well and then I could have the saline with very little risks, because she has them now and is not sick. I guess I was tempted once again, at least I researched this time and luckily found this group. Now maybe someone can help me with getting better, and I will begin to try and love myself the way that I am. Thanks, .. -------------- Original message -------------- Hi !I was in your shoes this past March. I had an appointment with my plastic surgeon for breast augmentation but something didn’t sit right with me. Like you, I felt like there was more to the story than it is a perfectly safe surgery with few side affects. I also thought if I was one of the unlucky patients, I could always have the implants removed and be healthy again. After joining this group and researching implants and their resulting illnesses and diseases, I learned quickly that it isn’t that simple at all. I can’t offer you any help with your decision except to tell you that I decided against implants because my health wasn’t something I was willing to gamble for larger breasts. Keep researching and read the archives here and you will be amazed at how sick a lot of the women here are or have been. My plastic surgeon insisted that implants were safe with no known health problems, I know differently. Another consideration is that a lot of the women here write about not feeling like themselves or natural when they were implanted and how free they felt once the implants were removed. Being small breasted is natural and beautiful but you have to be comfortable with yourself in order to see it.Good luck with your decision!! :)Kenda
Guest guest
Hi, again, , I’m sure once you begin to feel better, you will begin to love yourself the way you are. I have a new love for my small chested body since I came so close to implanting. Kenda Kenda, Thank you for sharing your information. Guest guest
, I'm relieved to know you've decided against breast implants. ly, I'm astounded that Dr. Kolb would consider reimplanting you if you are still having significant health problems. . . If you still have capsules, you may do much better once they are out though! Maybe she's thinking that you would do OK after removing the capsules. It seem like naturopaths are better prepared to help us than most medical doctors - who are trained to deny implant related problems. Finding a good naturopath can be tricky. Kenda has recommended her naturopath in Tulsa, OK. He can work long distance by telephone consultation. He then sends a kit for the tests he feels are in order. Kenda can tell you more about him. She's known him for years. From the reports I've heard, Dr. Kolb struggles to stay relatively healthy with her implants. She knows how important treating Candida and fungal issues are first hand! Detoxing is extremely important! . . . Especially getting toxins out of the fatty tissues and liver. We have quite a number of programs we've tried and recommend in our archives. I'd suggest reading Rubin's books . . . The Maker's Diet, Restoring Your Digestive Health, and Patient, Heal Thyself. Also, read one of the books on treating systemic Candida, like The Yeast Connection. As you'll see in reading these books, diet is extremely important. . . especially eliminating sugar, refined grains and processed foods. In addition to the chemicals they may be loaded with, some of them feed yeast/fungal organisms. The overgrowth of these organisms leads to a host of health problems. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of discipline and patience to get to where you feel 100% most of the time. The good news is that you can have your life back again! Guest guest
I want to get " THe YEast Connection " . I ordered 'The Maker's Diet', and will see how that is... I'm so happy you decided not to reimplant, Val. I think it is a wise choice. > , > > I'm relieved to know you've decided against breast > implants. ly, I'm astounded that Dr. Kolb would > consider reimplanting you if you are still having > significant health problems. . . Guest guest
, I had my implants removed 12 years ago - after 16 years of silicone gels! . . . I started reacting to environmental chemicals within months and went downhill for 16 years from there. Conventional wisdom is that one doesn't make a full recovery after 13 years . . . And I can't say that I have. I do feel well most the time. But I consider it a fragile good health. As long as I follow my " program " , I do well. I can do whatever I want to do, go where I want to go. However, if I violate any SINGLE one of my program measures, I fall. Then it can be very hard to climb back up. When I had my implants out, I had no support system, so I tried numerous things. It was two years before I felt well enough to go back to work. I don't think it should take anyone that long now - if they understand what they need to do and stick to it! The things I find important is following a good diet (especially no sugar), moderate exercise, good supplements, regular massage therapy, infrared sauna, get good quality sleep, occasional liver flushes, occasional probiotics AND stress and anger management! Raw, crushed, fresh garlic has helped me through many a difficult time! I've tried sooooooo many things and products! . . . My theory was, it if didn't hold the possility of making me worse, I'd try it! I feel God led me in the right direction time and again! Guest guest
Rogene Thanks again for sharing your story. I first heard it four years ago and it helped me get better. I have healed very much like you. And like you, I totally believe if it won't hurt me, it is worth a try!
