Guest guest
Hi Jen, Yes, I am still taking it, although not as consistently as I should. I herxed more when I first started with HMF but it could be that I am in better shape now so I never herxed with PD. Dr. Leu said that he has many patients that can’t tolerate PD. I tolerate both equally well. Kenda Have you been taking Primal Defense still? I've been taking the HMF Replete but think I noticed more of a herx with the PD. Just curious of your thoughts. Guest guest
I don’t notice any difference at all but I have only taken it for about a month. Kenda I am now taking primal defense. Guest guest
Molly, I noticed a big difference when taking Primal Defense .. . . Initially, I had some stomach churning as the beneficial bacteria fought the bad stuff. . . Then things settled down. I have an ear that has caused me problems for years. When the beneficial bacteria is OK, my ear is OK. When I have an overgrowth, my ear starts complaining! The idea is to keep taking it until enough of the beneficial organisms colonize so they can do the job without assistance. Some of the beneficial bacteria will never be replaced . . . but if you can get the balance back between the good and bad, you can cut back on Primal Defense to an occasional dose. Also, Acidopholis and naturally fermented foods help replace the depleted good stuff1 Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
An ear? I have an ear that hurts. It initially had an infection, but the infection went away with antibiotics. Still hurts from time to time. > Molly, > > I noticed a big difference when taking Primal Defense > . . . Initially, I had some stomach churning as the > beneficial bacteria fought the bad stuff. . . Guest guest
Molly, The story of my ear is very long . . . Initially, the hearing in that ear turned off! . . . Went from sounding tinny to nothing in a few minutes! . . . I went from specialist to specialist. Initially, I was given steroids. My hearing did come back to a limited extent . . . I'd call it moderate hearing loss right now. They told me I had Meinere's. . . That's why so many doctors. I argued that I didn't have Meinere's because I didn't experience the vertigo that goes with it. . . With Meinere's one experience one episode, then repeated episodes, with vertigo, until hearing is gone. The last ear doctor I saw volunteered that I probably never had Meinere's to begin with. I ran across a paper from a doctor at the House Ear Clinic in L.A. . . .He found that, by treating with anti-fungals, people with longstanding hearing loss were getting good results. I kept a constant discomfort, not really pain, in that ear until I took the antifungal. That experience got me tuned into the Candida/fungal issues. I can guage how closely I'm following my diet by how my ear does. Recently we spent a week where meals were provided. I indulged in a dessert with every meal . . . Bad thing to do! It's taken me over a month to get back to normal! It's funny how, with pets, the first thing they check is the ears . . . With people, they're seldom checked! A Fort Worth neurologist spoke to our implant support group in about 1994 . . . He said that he was seeing women coming in with sudden hearing loss and asked if women there had experienced hearing problem. A bunch of hands went up. The woman next to me told he her hearing turned off in the middle of a phone conversation. Hers never returned. The doctor didn't offer any explanation. He had been seeing a lot of implant women. Treating them very conservatively, minimum of drugs - stressing diet, rest, etc. His patients were getting better! - until he was blasted as a charlaton along with a Houston doctor who was taking advantage of women. He quit seeing implant women to save his career. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Wow. I don't think I have hearing loss. I know I do have some damage to the vestibular nerve, according to tests from ENT. Sigh, who knows? I am taking the Primal Defense anyway. > Molly, > > The story of my ear is very long . . . Initially, the > hearing in that ear turned off! . . . Guest guest
I also have minor ear pain, no loss of earing, thank God. I haven't had to have treatment, it's just annoying. I never thought about the Candida, I will be trying to get a hold on that soon. Thanks for the info. -------------- Original message -------------- Wow. I don't think I have hearing loss. Guest guest
My doc today said my ear and throat were red - probably a virus. The pain in my ear is always only in my right ear and it comes and goes a lot. > > Molly, > > > > The story of my ear is very long . . . Initially, the > > hearing in that ear turned off! . . .
