Guest guest
Hi Diane, I had mildly elevated ANA several years ago. After many tests, it was decided that I had fibromyalgia. After lots of detoxing, my ANA level returned to normal and I have had no fibro symptoms for several years. It sounds to me like that your implants are causing autoimmune problems, raising your ANA level. Since it is only slightly high, you may have a better chance of getting it back to normal after explantation if you don’t wait too long. Kenda Hi everyone I was able to see my doctor today and discuss my labwork. Interestingly enough, all was great except that the ANA was positive. She said that it was just a little bit high, but she may have been trying to keep me from getting anxious. She is also going to run a test called Anti-H. Pylori Rapid IGG. Has anyone ever heard of this? Rogene I also wanted your imput on some of this. :-) The other thing that she is doing is an MRI of the Breasts. They wanted to do a mammogram but I told her that due to the implants and already having a rupture less than a year ago, not to mention the poor quality of the implants, that I would NOT have that done. SHe said the MRI's are much better anyway and they also can detect rupture and/or any leakage. What do ya'll think about these things? Hope everyone is feeling better! :-) Diane Diane Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Hi Diane, H-Pylori is a stomach problem that is difficult to treat . . . required extended antibiotics. . . followed by extended treatment for yeast and fungal problems brought on by the antibiotics . . . I hope you don't have it! An MRI is definitely safer for you than a mammogram. If zeromamography was still around, it would be better yet. . . As one of the implant women pointed out, it was discontinued about the time the implant problems came on the scene. Intentional? I don't know! Still, you can run all the tests your insurance company will pay for . . . nothing other than getting your implants out will prove that it's your implants that are causing your problems! Guest guest
Hi Rogene I believe you are right also. Unfortunately I know that I cant get them removed for a few more months therefore I am trying to find out what I can do for the interim. Maybe the doctor decided to run that test because I told her that I am nauseated every day.... But she had mentioned that it had to do with the autoimmune system so I really did not know. Thanks for letting me know what that is. Guest guest
Hi! If you have implants, MRI is definitely safer. Did you replace implants a year ago? Do you remember what your ANA was? Guest guest
Hi Everyone My name is Norma I am so lucky to have Lea to call my friend. I met her on line last year pror to being explanted and GLAD I did. Her and her husband have been of utmost support to me even tho we have never met in person but talk on the phone as often as we can. I have gone tho hell and think I may be coming back lol. I had infection after infection after my surgery and ended up having to have two more surgeries and tubes in one breast for 6 weeks. I am now still having heart problems and in process of test to determine why. One thing I have had is constant diahera for about a year Dr finally doing test to try and figure that out .Has any one else had same problem. I honestly think I need a Dr who knows what implants do us.. I dont think my Dr fully gets it. Wish I could find another one. God Bless you all for supporting each and every one of us. Thank you Lea from the bottom of my heart.Diane Myers Sent: Wednesday, September 07, 2005 6:18 PM Subject: Re: Diane's Labwork reports - Rogene Hi Kenda Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Norma! I had serious problems with diahrrea. It finally landed me in the hospital with c-difficile bacteria. I was so terribly sick. I will never forget it. C-difficile, as far as I know, is the result of an unbalanced ratio of good bacteria to bad bacteria in the gut. When our immune systems are not operating properly, have had too many antibiotics, this can occur. It was just miserable. Shortly after that, I had another bowel test, which showed other bacteria for which flaggyl was prescribed. That was the last time I've had that problem. But it was really bad -- I also had a low grade fever for a long time. > Hi Diane, > > I had mildly elevated ANA several years ago. After many tests, it was decided that I had fibromyalgia. Yes the symptoms worsen if I eat fatty foods such as Pizza, Grilled cheese, etc...It is a undescribable pain under the ribcage that I can touch and actually pressure feels good on it. Guest guest
Hi, again, Is the pain more on the left or right side? This sounds a lot like liver/gallbladder problems. Be really careful, I had a pancreatitis attack three years ago and my symptoms were very much as you describe. I felt nauseous all the time, almost like morning sickness. I didn’t notice that it was primarily after eating fattening foods at the time. Even now, if I don’t eat right or take my liver supplements, certain foods can trigger swelling in my pancreas. Typically alcoholics are at risk for pancreatitis but I rarely drink so I didn’t fit the normal profile. I do have a problematic liver, which is what Dr. Leu and I blame on the attack. I’d bet your liver is congested and you need some serious detoxing. Watch your diet carefully and try to eliminate fats the best you can. Are you taking any type of detox supplement? What do ya'll think about these things?Hope everyone is feeling better! :-)DianeDianeOpinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
I tolerated Metagenics Adva-Clear very well and took it for a few years. You can get it from myhealthfirst.com, or anywhere that sells Metagenics products. I take a different liver supplement now but it was pretty rough on me at first. Kenda The pain is only on the left side.....But the symptoms sound like what you have described. I am not taking any kind of detox supplement but if you can suggest one I would love to start trying to detox now! Guest guest
Molly c difficile most commonly occurs after a strong course of antibiotics. Clindamycin is one that they watch for this as a side effect. Were you on any antibiotics prior to developing it? Flagyl is a treatment for c difficile. Also, it can be quite dangerous, even fatal. It is important to keep the gut flora healthy! Hugs, kathy > > Hi Diane, > > > > I had mildly elevated ANA several years ago. After many tests, it was decided that I > had fibromyalgia. Guest guest
- I had that test also. It was negative. H pylori causes ulcers and is now thought instrumental in developing stomach cancer. My father tested positive and was treated for it. The treatment sucks!! I was tested because I was developing terrible stomach problems. I would get diarrhea and lose like ten pounds! I have found that ever since I have been explanted and detoxing, those problems have gone away. In addition, ever since I did a liver detox, I can now eat onions and garlic again without trouble!! Yea! Hugs, kathy -- In , Diane Myers <dlmyers1960@s...> wrote: > I agree! Rogene and Kendra both seemed to know alot about that test though.
