Guest guest
Molly, I'm so sorry that your friend died! . . . And such a shock! I guess she doesn't have to worry about pain anymore . . . But those she left behind will feel the pain of her loss for the rest of their lives. Not a good thing! I hope she knows about your success! Personally, I think pain is there for a reason . . . It's the body's way of saying " Help " . It's one thing to take something for pain when one knows the reason for the pain and is addressing it. But, to take pain medication on an ongoing basis just covers up symptoms so they don't get addressed. For Connective tissue pain, stretching, heat (sometimes cold), theraputic massage and moderate exercise help immensely. Getting sufficient deep sleep is essential for the body to do it's repair work! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Thank you so much Rogene. This was a real blow today. No, I didn't get to tell her of my success, since I just found out yesterday. I was going to tell her today. I can't believe she is dead, Rogene. I just can't believe it. Today I thought of what a gift life is, and I thought about the responsibility we have to take care of that gift. I do not want to leave friends and my husband and daughter and all those I love any sooner than I have to. Yesterday I got the " Maker's Diet " in the mail. I haven't started reading it yet, but I will. I did read " Patient Heal Thyself " . My first and foremost goal now is to eat properly, and lose the weight so I can be healthier. I have gotten rid of those horrible implants. Years ago I quit smoking. Now I guess it's time to stop the foods that are not healthy for me. I was talking today to a mutual friend of Ann's. It's funny what you remember. I said, do you know that Ann and I both smoked Virginia Slim menthols? I can't believe I thought of that, of the times she or I bummed a cigarette from the other. At that moment I so wanted a cigarette! Then I thought how much I used to cough when I smoked. And I remembered again how precious life is. Smoking again is not the way I would want to honor my friend. > Molly, > > I'm so sorry that your friend died! . . . And such a > shock! I guess she doesn't have to worry about pain > anymore . . .
