Guest guest
Hi ! I was in your shoes this past March. I had an appointment with my plastic surgeon for breast augmentation but something didn’t sit right with me. Like you, I felt like there was more to the story than it is a perfectly safe surgery with few side affects. I also thought if I was one of the unlucky patients, I could always have the implants removed and be healthy again. After joining this group and researching implants and their resulting illnesses and diseases, I learned quickly that it isn’t that simple at all. I can’t offer you any help with your decision except to tell you that I decided against implants because my health wasn’t something I was willing to gamble for larger breasts. Keep researching and read the archives here and you will be amazed at how sick a lot of the women here are or have been. My plastic surgeon insisted that implants were safe with no known health problems, I know differently. Another consideration is that a lot of the women here write about not feeling like themselves or natural when they were implanted and how free they felt once the implants were removed. Being small breasted is natural and beautiful but you have to be comfortable with yourself in order to see it. Good luck with your decision!! Guest guest
Hi Kenda, I will look him up and at least have a phone conversation with him. My husband has frequent flyer miles, so I guess I could travel there. Can you give me an idea of what you did for detox? Dr. Kolb gave me so many pills to take. I am overwhelmed. I'm checking around for prices now. She said she sold them at 25% below most other stores, but I wanted to make sure. Also I'm not sure I can afford to take all that she suggests because of cost. I want to take the more important ones, if that's possible. My worst sympton is the fatigue. I probably have candida also, I just never feel good, I have body pain also that moves around. I also have to decide whether to come up with the money to have my capsules removed. The insurance won't pay since it is a complication from cosmetic surgery. I would most likely have to charge it. I had to charge my explantation surgery also, it took forever to pay it off, but was well worth it. -------------- Original message -------------- Hi ,My ND is excellent at detox, he is located in Oklahoma. If it is too far for you to travel, he does take telephonic patients.Kenda Rogene,Thanks for the information, I will definitely get the books and I am concerned that Dr. Kolb would suggest implants for me again. I makes me wonder if she is the doctor that I should use for detox. I will contact Dr. Melmed just to see what he has to say. I appreciate all your suggestions. How long did it take for you to begin to feel better through detox? -------------- Original message -------------- ,I'm relieved to know you've decided against breastimplants. ly, I'm astounded that Dr. Kolb wouldconsider reimplanting you if you are still havingsignificant health problems. . . Guest guest
Hi , His name is Leu, 298-9300. His website is drleu.com. I strongly, strongly recommend him. For detoxing, I have done many things but am currently taking Liver Guard, which is a hepatic protection formula on Dr. Leu’s personal label. Xymogen makes an identical product called Liver Protect. One capsule has 200 mg Alpha-Lipoic Acid, 210 mg Silymarin, 100 mg Selenium and 200 mg N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine. I take six per day now but started out at just two per day because I herxed on it at heavier doses. Six per day doesn’t bother me at all now — a huge accomplishment. I started out with Adva Clear by Metagenics and took it for two or three years. Dr. Leu prefers the product I am now taking because it works on two different pathways, if I remember correctly. I had tons of lab work done which showed several deficiencies. Jen and I both had one test that went into great detail about different vitamin and mineral needs. He also does some genetic tests. I am extremely low in B vitamins and supplement very highly with them. I take many supplements a day but it is my choice to do so. Dr. Leu will go as conservatively as you want to with supplementation. I want to take everything I can to be at optimum health so I’m sure I’m one of his extreme patients. One thing that I really like about him is that he is genetically challenged, like so many of us, and has to supplement to achieve great health so he understands us very well. He walks his talk and glows with health. I saw one ND for two years who told me that I was as well as I could be, given my health issues. She was WRONG! I feel fantastic most every day and wouldn’t accept anything less ever again. Health is something a lot of us have to work at and can’t take for granted but if we do all that we can, it can usually be achieved. The problem is a lot of people shoot in the dark with supplementation. My supplements are all targeted toward deficiencies my doctor knows I have based on lab tests.
