Guest guest
My doc just called & said my thyroid was low...I already am on 240 mg (4 grains) of armour thryoid. But this isn't enough, and is probably why I have been so extremely fatigued lately. I " ve hardly had the energy to get out of the house... I am starting the cleanse as soon as I get it.. I have to get my energy back and lose weight!!! Yes, Lea, I'm whining about weight ;-) But I do have to lose it - I have so much to lose; I never thought I'd get this heavy. Oh well, it is what it is now. I have to take it a step at a time, and i am.
Guest guest
There is a big difference Bindi! Armour thyroid is a natural thyroid hormone derived from porcine sources, which is most closely identical biologically to our human thyroid hormone. It has both T3 and T4 in it, as well as other naturally occuring thyroid hormones that are lesser known-- T1 and T2. Synthroid is a synthetic hormone created in a lab, and is patented. It also provides only the T4 portion of the thyroid hormone, relying on your body to convert a portion of that T4 into the more powerful T3 hormone. The only problem is that some people do not readily convert T4 into T3, and so they continue to feel terrible even while on Synthroid. Some people do indeed convert that T4 readily, and so it works for them, but not all people, regardless of what the MD's want to tell you. But the only way for you to know is to experiment and see what works well for you. You have to wonder what you might be missing without the full thyroid hormone in its natural state. I myself saw no reason to mess with synthetic hormones at all. Armour works well for me and I wouldn't take any other. Patty Armour Thyroid I am waiting for my thyroid tests to come back, and in the meantime I am trying to arm myself with info abiut thyroid treatments for when I see the doc. I was wondering, those of you who take thyroid meds, what is the difference between Armour and Synthroid? Bindi
Guest guest
Most likely that means you have an adrenal problem and the thyroid meds are having a problem getting into the cells. Have you ever had your cortisol levels checked? It may help.
