Guest guest
Thanks for your suggestion . . . unfortunately, I did try the estrogel on my thighs, but it didn't seem to give me enough estrogen, compared to when I rubbed it on my arms (does anyone have any ideas re. why that would be?). . . and the lumps remained. I use estragel and just ran out of the beloved Aerodiol. I was using both, the Aero in the AM, and just one dose of it lasted all day, and then I would use the estragel at night, about .75mg on upper arm, but when I developed a painful area in the breast on that side I switched to my thigh. I don't have the feeling that the estragel has ever worked well for me, either. I love the idea of it, but apparently don't absorb it well. Since running out of the Aerodiol, I am now bleeding again, and this after a D & C and hysteroscopy for presumed hyperplasia, but which turned out to be a large polyp. I was told that after the polyp removal I would probably not have dysfunctional bleeding again for a long time, but that the polyp might return. The D & C was two months ago. It seems soon again to have this kind of bleeding, and with clots. I feel absolutely terrible, with backache and stomach cramps. Has anyone else had anything like this? I am sooo discouraged. Thank you for any help on this. I didn't have the hysterectomy that was pushed on me because no hyperplasia was found, and I felt fairly confident that the bleeding would now come under control. I am wondering now if it is a hormonal thing and not a problem with the polyp. Anyway, again, just venting and whining, but would love any thoughts... GaelGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com. Guest guest
Gael,I wonder if a compounding pharmacy could make up an estradiol nasalspray or nasal drops? Maybe if we all call WIP they will considerdoing it??Have you tried using a glove to apply oestrogel to your neck and face?(A glove so that you do not get any on your hand that will drain toyour lump area.) I think I get better brain effects when I apply partof my oestrogel dose on my carotid areas and some of my face (upperlip and chin just in case it helps with hair issues). Dr. G says notto apply oestrogel to our face because of the alcohol base. Well myRetin-A gel is in an alcohol base and I use it without a problem; Isee no reason why oestrogel would be a problem unless you havesensitive facial skin (maybe just stay away from the sensitive eyearea). I always try to apply my oestrogel right after my showerbecause I think it absorbs better then (I dry off and immediatelyapply it).Another thought would be to use some oestrogel on your neck and faceplus some estradiol in olive oil on your gum and inner cheek areas. Ihave gum recession and I have been applying a small dose of estradiolin olive oil to my gums in the morning. If I get the amount right Ican feel a good estrogen boost. I like to do this first thing in themorning and then go do my exercise and shower/apply oestrogel later. That way I think I feel better for my walk.Kathy Thank you for these suggestions, Kathy, and I will definitely try the carotid artery and perhaps the facial application. I am not quite clear (and am VERY brain foggy, as I always am when I have bleeding) on what is meant by OO estradiol. Where does one acquire it? GaelGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com. Guest guest
Hi , I may have missed this but can you not try the estrogel on your thighs? Just a thought I've tried all the patches and the Vivelle was the one that worked the best for me, though not good enough. I probably would have stayed with estrogel as it's only estradiol, if it wasn't for the side effects - ie, swollen, painful underarm lumps. So far, it seems like most who use patches like the Vivelle dot. Guest guest
Gael,The Women's International Pharmacy sells estradiol in olive oil with aRX called in or faxed from your doctor:http://www.womensinternational.com/Their standard strengths from recall are 1 mg/drop, 0.1 mg/drop, and0.125 mg/drop. If you have your doctor call in 1 mg/drop you can justdilute it with your own olive oil to get to your desired strength (buyanother small bottle with a dropper from the health food store). Theytold me that they can make up other strengths as well. I think mylittle bottle was about $15 plus priority mail shipping. The onlyproblem with them is that they only want to send you a one month'ssupply for your first order (just to make sure you like it). I wanteda 30 ml bottle but instead I got 10 ml bottle.Estradiol in olive oil is nice because you can use it so many ways(oral, sublingual, topical, vaginal) and it is inexpensive. With theWomen's International Pharmacy they bill you with your order. When myorder shows up in the mail I go to their site and pay my bill with mycredit card. They have a location in Arizona and in Wisconsin. Kathy Kathy, thank you SO much! I will see if my doctor will do this. Right now, I am getting all my hormones from Master's Marketing, and bypassing my doctor altogether. They wanted to INSIST that I be on bi-est and progesterone daily. Perhaps they would consider this. GaelGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
Guest guest
Hi , I just updated the database. Things are a bit different right now. I'm trying the HRT base Estradiol and only dosing 2 times a day. So far, I feel pretty crappy I just started a touch of Testo today. I'm hoping this will help me feel stronger. I'm so weak feeling. This could also be my adrenals.
