Guest guest
Don't you develop a tolerance to temazepam? My doc prefers me take Ambien. It does not work as well as temazepam, for me. I have tried to get off of sleeping pills, b/c I was finding that 10 mg ambien was not helping anymore,. Then I got way out of whack... For example I did not sleep at all last night. Not 5 minutes. So I feel like h** today. I may just start back taking ambien,. I can't live like this. I am taking magnesium - funny you mention that . I just started taking it yesterday, hoping it might help. I have heard that it is good for relaxation. Thanks for the tip about melatonin. I took it for awhile, but didn't think it helped. I still have some, but am not taking it. > Molly, > > A sleep disorder goes hand in glove with fibromyalgia. > > The one medication I won't do without is Temazapam - > 15 mg. Guest guest
Hi, again, The herbal I have used is Metagenics Serenagen. Dr. Leu recommends it for nervousness or to help with sleep. Serenagen is a classic Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help the body adapt to stress. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Directions: Take two tablets two to three times daily or as directed by your health care practitioner. Warnings: Not to be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women. Caution: Keep out of the reach of children. Storage: Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Supplement Facts Serving Size 2 Tablets Servings Per Container 25 Amount Per % Daily Serving Value A Propietary 4:1 Solidified Aqueous 1 g ** Concentrate (SACÂȘ) of the following herbal extracts: Rehmannia Root (Rehmannia glutinosa), Schizandra Fruit (Schizandra chinensis), Jujube Fruit (Zizyphus spinosa), Dong Quai Root ( sinensis), Asparagus Root (Asparagus cochinchinensis), Ophiopogon Root (Ophiopogon japonicus), Scrophularia Root (Scrophularia ningpoensis), Codonopsis Root (Codonopsis pilosula), Salvia Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza), Poria Sclerotium (Poria cocos), Polygala Root (Polygala tenuifolia), Platycodon Root (Platycodon grandiflorum) **Daily Value not established. Unfortuantely when I had fibro, I was given all the drugs, muscle relaxers, anti-depressants, anti-inflammatories and Rogene is right, they make you feel worse! Kenda Molly, A sleep disorder goes hand in glove with fibromyalgia. The one medication I won't do without is Temazapam - 15 mg. I've never been one who needed much sleep . . . Then, when I got sick I couldn't sleep. Doctors who understand FM don't have a problem with prescribing it. Don't let them give you Neurontin! . . . Awful stuff! . . . Same with muscle relaxors! They take away any desire to get up and go! There are a number of things the ladies here can recommend to help you sleep . . . one is taking magnesium (two parts calcium to one part magnesium). There are some herbals too . . . I'd caution against Melatonin though. It works short term, but long term, I found it made me feel terrible! Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time tea is excellent. As are hot baths, dim lights, soft music - or what I used to do . . . Read an algebra book. My brain just refused to go along with that for more than a few minutes before it shut down! Guest guest
Wow Rogene! I'm learning a lot here... You ladies have tried a lot. I feel like a novice at a lot of this. I was taking magnesium when I took my other pills, in the morning. I will take it at night. With water! I hate some of the things about our new insurance, but I will say it has a great prescription plan. Better than what we had before. I pay only about $25 for 3 month supply of Ambien. IT's incredible. I am very very fortunate to have a good husband who also has medical insurance! The last few days I've been a real mess...Didn't sleep at all last night, and have this ear ache that my doc said was a virus. Feel like a zombie today. I couldn't exercise today for any thing. But I may start back on ambien to get some sleep again. I can't function when my sleep schedule is this out of whack. So It looks like it is back to the sleep research tools I have used before, and ambien. I " ve indulged myself too much lately and reading all these tips -- I feel just a wee bit guilty. whack whack - -- In , Rogene S <saxony01@y...> wrote: > Molly, > > Early on, when insurance would pay for it, I > alternated between Ambien, 10 mg. Guest guest
Yes - it is an investment. I figure it is like groceries ;-) The bar exam results - oh yes, there are things you should not let your husband do. We were told at the exam the results would be posted today. I had looked the other day and realized the feb results were still up so the July was not yet. WEll hubby looked today for me and said the results were up but mine were not posted . Alarmed, I called the board, and asked them why my number wasn't there. They explained that the Feb results were still up and the July results would not be up until Oct. 7. Boy did I feel silly. And I have to wait another month,. ;-( -- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@c...> wrote: > You crack me up!
