Guest guest
Thank you so much, Lea, for the kind post. I am embarrassed to say I do not remember calling you. I was in such a fog then. I had just graduated, and was getting sicker and sicker. I was seeing one specialist after another, and it seemed every test came out badly - blood tests, brain & c-spine MRIs, spinal tap. Yich. Then I found out my implants were ruptured. There's so much I don't recall about that time. I talked to a number of people then, trying to obtain information. I don't even recall how I found names or numbers. I remembered Lynda, because her email looked familiar. I have no idea why I remembered her email but not what we said in conversation. More than a few times, I didn't think I would live. My internist told me she watched me deteriorate before her eyes. I was dx wtih Hashimoto's thyroid disease, mulitple sclerosis and lupus -- and I was depressed and angry. Thank God I found you and all the women who helped me during that time. Through all of this, I started putting pieces together. I got connected with Dr. Kolb and scheduled an explant. Although I have always been detail oriented, by that time, I didn't have the energy or ability to do focus on insurance or much of anything else. Dr. Kolb helped me with insurance, and she & her whole staff made me feel safe - I'll never forget that. I was incredibly naive when I got my implants- I never even asked what type I had. When I tried to find my implanting surgeon from 20 years ago, I discovered that he had his medical license revoked in 1994. It took Colorado a lot to finally take action -- improperly administering anesthesia (resulting in a woman's death), insurance fraud, false advertising (he was never board certified) and criminal charges of sexual assault. Well, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I was just on overload, as was my memory. IT's only been a year and a half since my explant, but it feels like a decade. This is why I am still on forums like this. One thing I DO remember is how terrified I was. I sure feel for other women going through that. If there is anything I can do for other women facing this, I'd like to. I'm so sorry you have been ill. I probably just yakked on, oblivious. I was not at my best, that's for sure. Are you feeling any better these days? I hope so. DId you have silicone or saline implants? I am assuming you had an explant? I'm so glad you have an attorney who is helping you with the toxic mold. There are some caring lawyers out there! Thet whole issue of toxic mold has really exploded in the last few years. I'm glad you are pursuing it legally. How long have you lived with the mold? I sure hope you can get that removed from your home. It's a mess, I know. It is so important to have the mold removed & home repaired properly. It's insidious, too, because you can get so sick before realizing what is going on. A little like silicone poisoning? Once again, I do appreciate your thoughtful comments! Please keep me posted on how your are doing with that mold situation. I look forward to getting to know you and all the women here better. I'm not always a terrified basket case.. In fact, I have decided i might just live after all. Take care. > >> >> Hi Lea, > >> >> > >> >> You are not lazy, you have had so much grief in your life lately and > >> >> it > >> >> really zaps your energy. Not to mention the mold in your house! Guest guest
Lea, I realized I jumped the gun here. I was so shocked by that post, that I overreacted. Thanks to you, Lynda & Rogene for giving me some perspective on it. > >> >> Hi Lea, > >> >> > >> >> You are not lazy, you have had so much grief in your life lately and > >> >> it > >> >> really zaps your energy. Guest guest
Lea, I sure hope you are feeling better. I can't imagine what you went through, with 2 sets of silicone implants. I wonder, too, if we are in shock when going through all this, and that is part of the reason for memory loss. > >> >> >> Hi Lea, > >> >> >> > >> >> >> You are not lazy, you have had so much grief in your life lately > >> >> >> and > >> >> >> it > >> >> >> really zaps your energy. Guest guest
Thanks, Lea! The most stress lately I have had is studying and taking the bar exam. I got through it, but don't know if I passed. Find out in a couple weeks, probably. I was just so tired after that... Stress can worsen all these autoimmune problems. I think a lot of it is how we deal with it, also. I'm trying some ways to diffuse stress. We also have to live our lives! And life is stressful, at times. > >> >> >> >> Hi Lea, > >> >> >> >> > >> >> >> >> You are not lazy, you have had so much grief in your life lately > >> >> >> >> and > >> >> >> >> it > >> >> >> >> really zaps your energy.
