thank God.... now to find the others...

I hope we hear something soon... all of those poor people over there - it looks so very awful... I wish there was more I could do for them financially. My aunt/uncle are taking donations here locally of supplies and when the truck is loaded they are headed up... I hope what little I could give helps.

I hope they all get relief soon!!! this could be us next time and that is so very scary.

love to all

This is all such wonderful news!! Prayers answered.

We have still yet to hear from / about Lany & her family.

A friend of hers wrote me and she spoke to Lany right when Katrina was

hitting and she said she was getting ready to get in a car with her

husband Dave and her Dad and they were just going to keep driving.

Keep the prayers going.

Peace.

Hi Shari,

What type of things are your aunt and uncle collecting to take over? Is there anything I could mail to them? Do I have time to get something mailed to them?

We have give financially to a couple of organizations but we also have things here that might be of value to others.

Thanks.

Kenda

hi there

They are just collecting water and toiletries, baby stuff, etc. I spoke with her yesterday and they appear to be pretty filled up - Thanks for your offer but I do not think they will have much room left in their truck, if any.... My neighbor was talking yesterday of renting a uhaul and filling it w/ bottled water and driving it over to Mississippi I believe.... I will see if he needs any more donations. My hubby is gonna help him as they both did when Charley went through south of us.... my hubby went down several weekends with supplies and tools to help cut trees and clear debris...

Thanks again for offering - I am sure there are plenty other people doing the same things out there that may need more help.... I just wish we all knew they were legit. It is hard to tell with all the help site out there - you would hope in these terrible times people would back off that have ill intentions but I have been hearing about that non-stop - people on the web trying to profit off of this. It makes me sick as I know we could be next and be the ones in need of help....

thanks again

Hi Shari,

I’ll look around here for local charities driving to affected areas with donations. We started receiving our first buses here at Camp Gruber over the weekend. We live quite a ways from Camp Gruber but my daughter’s school is expecting their first students from New Orleans today.
