Sue,

Welcome! . . . The first time you see your " new "

breasts can be a shock . . . Not to worry though. You

should look just about the way you did before implants

- but give yourself as long as six months to reach

your final shape!

It takes weeks, to months before you'll see what the

final results will be. Think of it as sitting on a

pillow. . . When one first gets up, the pillow is

depressed. It takes a little while for it to " fluff "

again. Essentially, the same thing is happening when

you have your implants removed, except your body will

probably aid in filling in the void.

In the meantime, wear a snug, but comfortable sports

bra 24/7 until healing is well underway. You want the

internal scar tissue to work for you.

How are you feeling otherwise?

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Welcome, Sue! I had my (silicone) implants a long time - 20 years. But I bet

there are

women here who had implants for a short time.

I do know it took awhile for healing, and what some call 'fluffing'. My problem

is that my

body is already 'fluffed' --need to lose weight. ;-( I need to 'unfluff

it'. I know, sorry

atempt at humor.

But life does get better after explantation. Humor even comes back. Well, or

what passes

for it....lol

Take care. I have found lots of support and information in these forums.

Snug is important, and of course, no underwire.

Hey someone liked my joke? ;-)

I need to be unfluffed. Or is it de-fluffed?

HI Sue!

Congratulations on your explant. What you are going through is

entirely normal. I would say to give yourself about 6 months of

healing to let your breast tissue fluff out and regain its former

shape. It may not take that long, but I would not get too upset over

the appearance at this early stage after explant. Your body has been

through some trauma. It will take a little time for it to recover.

Hugs,

Patty

Sue

they will get better - I was also a very small A if not a AA and had 250cc's for 7 years and looked just as you were explaining after explant. Within a few weeks/months they filled back out and looked normal. I think the implants smoosh all your natural tissues and whatever back into your chest wall and upon removal it takes time for all of that to come back to normal... give it a few weeks and you will see some progress. I felt the same way - totally freaked out when I saw them the first time but it does get much better.... just follow your docs instructions and wait a little bit.
