Guest guest
Lea I had them (shingles) about 3 years ago at 31..... started the same way - felt like there was a horrible bite or mark there but then there was nothing..... my bra strap hurt it. then after a few days the rash started.... Moved like a band with a belt shape all the way around to my chest - only on the one side. it was very painful.... The doctor have me meds for it that helped tremendously... This was right around the time I realized my implant illness... STRESS!! My hubby just went through it about 6 months ago - the doc said stress is definitely a cause...his only lasted a week or so as he got to the doc early and started the meds.... I am sorry - Hopefully your doc can nip it in the bud before it gets too bad.... I waited too long to go in. My advice would be get it taken care of NOW before it spreads around... it really hurt on my side.... (not trying to scare you - just making sure you get something to stop it!!) good luck love shari
Guest guest
Shari ... I am so interested in knowing what exactly worked to control your shingles ... A close relative of mine had them on her genitals (oooowwwwch!!) for several months with no relief ... So glad you were able to control yours. It's the same virus as the chicken pox virus ... tho much much much more painful I understand. Guest guest
Hi Ilena, My husband had shingles on his hip a few years ago. It itched and was the worst pain he had ever had. A homeopath gave him a tincture for chicken pox. I have no idea what was in it but it cleared up in a couple of months and never came back. You might do a search for homeopathic remedies for chicken pox and/or shingles. Kenda Shari ... I am so interested in knowing what exactly worked to control your shingles ... Guest guest
Lea, I hope your doctor started you on the medication that can short-circuit shingles . . . There's a small window of opportunity where this drug works. You've had enough stress for a half-dozen people. Please take good care of yourself. Love, Rogene
Guest guest
yes - they were much more painful.... they gave me a cream to use and an oral med - pill.... I am trying to remember what it was....mine took quite a while to heal and was pretty bad. in my hubby's recent case they gave him Valtrex which I guess is a med for herpes which chicken pox and shingles are in that group of illnesses or related... I know he had a large patch on the center of his back starting to move like a band around and after two days of taking that it stopped moving (like mine moved all the way around to my chest) - his still hurt and took a while to heal but it stopped the virus from spreading around to his chest. is healed MUCH faster than mine did. Has your friend tried that med? good luck for her!!!! I feel her pain - I had Chicken pox at 23 - had the worse case my doc had ever seen. they were in my mouth on my tongue, in my ears and eyes.... and in the nasty areas too..... I actually had them so bad in my throat it hurt to eat so I lost some weight! I have terrible scars from some of them.... love shari
Guest guest
Shari, Your case of chicken pox sounded horrible! My daughter, who is 13 years old, is the only one in our family who has never had them. Before I got implants and knew about all this health stuff, I took her to the doctor for a chicken pox vaccine, which was fairly new then. I don't know if I did the right thing or not, as I've heard the vaccine can wear off? I'd hate for her to get chicken pox as an adult. Since my implant nightmare, I made the decision that my kids will get no more vaccines, based on the information I've gotten about their dangers. But at this point I am clueless about her real protection from chicken pox! I'd rather see her get them now than later. Maybe that geranium oil would help with chicken pox too! Thanks, Patty > yes - they were much more painful.... they gave me a cream to use and an oral > med - pill....
