Guest guest
Hi! I love Sleepy Time!! Temazepam - I was taking 30 mg and not doing anything for me.. I have taken temazepam at times and ambien at times. Temazepam is addictive though because it is a benzodiazepene. Also, my doctor told me that temazepam disrupts the sleep pattern, whereas ambien does not as much. I don't know about that, because all of them seem to ultimately be useless. Still, if it helps you, then that is great. I am going to try to do more sleepy time tea and force myself to do the tips from sleep research...and less sleeping pills. > Molly, > > The best price I've found for Garden of Life products > is on www.vitacost.com . . . > > Have you tried Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time tea > for helping to put you in a sleep mode? > > The only medication I still take regularly is > Temazapam (15 mg). . . a sleep med. . . Guest guest
Actually Dr. Jordan Rubin was raised in a Jewish family. He is a Messianic Jew, which I think is way cool. It doesn't matter if you are religious or not. The diet is based on sound biblical principles for eating and taking care of oneself the way God intended us to eat and live. After all, it is His world, and we are His creation. I think He probabaly knows best how we work. Think it of a manual for the human body based on information from the One who made our bodies. Dr. Jordan Rubin has a fabulous testimony of healing God's way. Patty --- In , " MollyBloom54 " <jawlaw93@y...> wrote: > Is " The Maker's Diet " a Christian book? Guest guest
Hi Molly, Have you ever taken 5HTP? It’s an amino acid? Here’s some information I pulled off the myhealthfirst.com website. I had lab work that showed that I was low in it so I have been taking it for several months. An added benefit I noticed right away was that my sleep was incredible! This product contains 50 mg of 5-HTP along with 5 mg of P-5-P which is necessary in its conversion to serotonin. The 5-HTP in this supplement is extracted from the seed of Griffonia simplicifolia. 5-HTP increases levels of serotonin, melatonin, endorphins, dopamine, norepinephrine. It is a more effective product than L-Tryptophan and should be considered in cases where it is advantageous to raise levels of the above mentioned neurotransmitters. This can include depression, sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, obesity, carbohydrate craving, headaches, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease. It sounds like it could even help you with your weight issues. Kenda Hi! I love Sleepy Time!! Temazepam - I was taking 30 mg and not doing anything for me.. Guest guest
No I haven't! That is something I am going to look into!!! It sounds great. I do take antidepressants, which affect seratonin...I wonder if this would have any adverse reaction? I will definitely look into it though, and ask my doctor. > >> > Molly, > >> > > >> > The best price I've found for Garden of Life products > >> > is on www.vitacost.com . . . > >> > > >> > Have you tried Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time tea > >> > for helping to put you in a sleep mode? > >> > > >> > The only medication I still take regularly is > >> > Temazapam (15 mg). . . a sleep med. . . Guest guest
I wonder if you could go off of the antidepressants if you took 5HTP. Something definitely worth checking into. Guest guest
- I am glad to hear that you are feeling better than you were! The road to recovery is often full of ups and downs. The good news is that you are still getting closer to getting well even when you experience temporary setbacks! I am glad that you stopped your sleep med. I find that the less drugs I take the better. In fact I don't take any pain or sleep meds. I react pretty strongly to just about anything!! I really think diet can make a difference-- especially if you are overly acidic---which I am. I am working towards alkalinizing my body now and really think I am heading down the right path with this! Good luck to you. Guest guest
Actually, Jordin Rubin is Jewish. He however is a christian Jew. Nonetheless, the book is about God's (yours and the Christian God is the one and the same) provision for us. In fact, all of the food recommendations are kosher as he follows the old testament eating laws. He says that is why the jewish people were consistently healthier than their gentile neighbors. So you should have no problem whatsoever following his food recommendations. Hugs, kathy > > > > Molly, > > > > > > > > This group is as much for gel implanted women as it is > > > > for saline . . . Guest guest
Thank you! I ordered the " Maker's Diet " from Half.com, and should get it in a few days I guess. I am feeling better. Boy has it been a rough couple years. There were sometimes I didn't think I was going to make it! It is time to seriously focus on my diet. > > > > > Molly, > > > > > > > > > > This group is as much for gel implanted women as it is > > > > > for saline . . .
