Guest guest
Hello Mr Vaughan, Please clarify if you can with the following case. We have a patient who is scheduled for Living Donor Surgery and has GHI HMO primary, with Medicare secondary. GHI has denied the authorization for the Donor Nephrectomy, stating that they are denying coverage for the organ donor because per the member's contract, GHI GMO will cover the expense for the donor if they are an enrollee in GHI HMO....My question is: Will Medicare pay for the Donor Nephrectomy? Thanks for your kind assistance....
