Guest guest
I talked to Mrs. Leonard at the FDA today . . . Here's what I learned/said: The first thing I asked her was if she would record our conversation . . . she has no capability to record. Then I asked her what she could do . . . Answer: The only thing she can do is to pass information along. She has no voice in decisions. So I requested that she ask whoever does have a voice, to contact me. That, while I'm not a person to put myself out in front, this tragedy has gone on far too long, the problems are horrible, and I'm prepared to go the media to bring pressure from the outside if the FDA doesn't clean their own house! I told her about the DNA/RNA/HLA typing, lot numbers, chemicals, degradation and contamination, ionized platinum, insurance issues, etc. I ran down the list of problems the children are dealing with . . . rashes, digestive problems, deformities - including sexual deformities, Lupus, allergies, behavior/cognitive problems, etc. Plus the fact that most mothers have not made the connection. And, even when the do, they often don't want their children to know. I covered a lot of ground, given the few minutes she had. I'm hopeful someone who has decision making authority will call me. She told me she's been receiving a lot of phone calls .. . . Basically they are all saying the same thing, except I'm talking about the effects on the children. I pointed out the fact that tens of thousands of late teens, early twenties are getting implants - putting their future children at risk for a lifetime of illness, an economic disaster for the families, as well as the nation and the school system. I compared it to thalidomide, but far worse. Mrs. Leonard's number is 800-638-2041. Please call her and let your heart guide you . . . I know you're going to have a powerful impact! Guest guest
Renata, I can set you up for a Daily Digest, or No Email . . . Either will allow you to access the group without getting all the email. You will still have access to the information in the archives. The Daily Digest groups messages (usually 25 messages) in one email . . . You can read down the list to see which ones you are interested in, then scroll down to read. No opening, closing and deleting! I'd suggest staying in touch until you are on your way to recovery! There are a lot of questions that come up with explant and detoxing! Let me know, and I'll fix you up! Hugs, Rogene --- renata richards <noddi29@...> wrote: > Hi Supportive Ladies- > > Is there anyway to be taken off ? Guest guest
I also spoke with Leonard on Wednesday and I told her some of my horror story with implants. I told her I was born with a birth defect, Poland's Syndrome, and I had many reconstructive plastic surgeries done. I told her I'm now on SS Disablity at the age of 45 because of breast implants and she asked if I had one that ruptured or leaked. Obviously, most people think you have to have a rupture or leak to get sick from these things. I told her " no, I didn't have a rupture or leak but I had infection after infection and I've had at least 30 surgeries in the last 20 years. " She seemed shocked when I told her how many surgeries I've had and I think it might have sunk in a little bit that implants have made me sick to the point of DISABILITY, even without a rupture or leak!! I also told her I'm having trouble even finding a doctor who will take the implants out because I'm on PA Medicaid and the doctors I've been to in this state seem to have the attitude that I'll be even more miserable, and still have just as much pain, if I go back to the deformity I started with. I'm sure they all KNOW that the fibromyalgia pain I have might just go away if they take out the implants, and put nothing back. They wouldn't want that to happen, would they? The only reason I haven't INSISTED on having them taken out yet is because I'm hoping I might be able to find a doctor who will attempt some kind of reconstruction, using my own tissue, especially on my left side, so I won't need to wear a prosthesis. I'll be switching from PA Medicaid to Medicare in November and I might have more options with Medicare. Thanks for listening to me, once again. I hope my call to the FDA made a difference but unfortunately, I don't think it will. Gee, maybe we should all buy stock in Mentor and Inamed and get rich off the son-of-a-bitches! Guest guest
Dianne, I'm so glad you told Leonard about your experience! . . . We must make our voices heard! Every single one of us! Buying Mentor and Inamed stock is a good idea . . . Buy one share, then attend their stockholders meeting so you can express yourself to the rich, criminal, $%^ & !@#$'s I hope you can find someone to remove your implants as soon as you get on Medicare! . . . In the meantime, take very good care of yourself. God Bless, Rogene
