Guest guest
So I just sent an e-mail to Health Net which felt quite satisfying: > Dear Ms. XXXXX, > You had left me a phone message asking for confirmation of a new contract that you had sent to my office. I did receive the packet. > > I don't know if you are aware but I just terminated my participation with Health Net in February, 2010 due to extremely poor service dealing with one patient's claims as well as having the lowest reimbursement rates of all my current payors. According to the contract, you are proposing that Health Net will pay me 95% of the CMS allowable charges. As this is less than Medicare's reimbursement rates which are already low, I see no reason for me to sign up with Health Net again. Thank you for your interest but your product does not suit my needs at this time. I didn't have many patients with Health Net anyways so it doesn't hurt my practice much. I wish my practice was financially secure enough that I could write letters like this to all my third party insurance plans.
