Guest guest
im still waiting for the dr. to call me back but wanted some opinions on what this might mean...well if anyone has gotten a positive read back from there MRI technique: sagittal T1 and FLAIR, axial T1, T2 and FLAIR, DWI as well as post-Gadolinium axial and coronal T1 of the brain was obtained the examination demonstrates multiple areas of signal abnormalities involving the left cerebellar hemisphere anteriorly, as well as left pontine medullary junction, and right temporal lobe as well as right high convexity postcrior frontal lobe subcortial white matters. the findings are best appreciated on the flair sequence as well as T2 sequence. No abnormal enhancement with Gadolinium enhancement is seen. No significant mass effect is demonstrated. The findings are suspicious for demyelinating process such as multiple sclerosis. Clinical correlation is recommended. Different diagnosis includes acute disseminated encephalomyelopathy also known as ADEM. There is no evidence of hydrocephalus or midline shift. No intracranial hemorrhage is noted. The sella and suprasellar structures arae within normal limits. Bilateral orbits and parnasal sinuses are withing normal limits. Impression: signal abnormality involving the brain stem and cerebellum as well as right temporal love and posterior frontal lobe as described. the finding suggest demyelinating process such as multiple sclerosis versus ADEM. clinical correlation is recommended.
