Rogene wrote earlier that she wasn't able to get through. If you haven't called yet, I just wanted to let you know I just did and had no trouble getting through--was not put on hold and and talked to people who were friendly.

Tomorrow, Wednesday August 24, is the day we will all call the FDA and the Department of Health and Human Services to tell them NOT to approve silicone breast implants.

FDA Commissioner Crawford and HHS Secretary Leavitt need to hear from all of us that Mentor and Inamed's applications for silicone breast implants must be REJECTED.

We have new phone numbers for you to call because FDA and HHS temporarily disabled their toll-free numbers. Seems they found out we were going to call and don't want to hear from us.

We will not be silenced!

Tomorrow (Wednesday August 24), call:FDA Commissioner Crawford at 1-301-827-2410 (Fax: 1-301-443-3100)

Then call:HHS Secretary Leavitt at 1-202-690-7000 (Fax: 1-202-690-7203)

They will not let you say much, but make sure you tell them:

“Do Not Approve Mentor or Inamed Silicone Breast Implants.”

If they give you the run-around and say you must fax your comment, use the fax numbers we have provided above.

After you make you calls, please email us at info@... to tell us you made the call and what the response was. Thank you for stepping up your activity to help us as we approach the FDA’s decision day.

I got through this morning no problems at all. I spoke to a nice

lady. whether or not she passes on my concerns, who knows? But I

did get through.

The good news is that I got the attention of someone

at the FDA . . . They called me back today, but I was

out all day. I have a number to call tomorrow.

I've sent the person who called email messages

repeatedly. However, the last few message I sent

bounced . . . I thought she had moved on.

I was forwarding messages to her from another woman

whose email was blocked too!

This should be interesting!
