I've read that Dr.s are giving out antibiotics for every little

thing. It's so strange to go to a holistic Dr. who seems so sure and

Candida and the next day, going to a medical Dr. or a hospital who

says Candida is a bunch of made up stuff. How could their opinions

be so different? And because sweets make me feel so good, of course

I wanted to believe it when some Dr.s would say that I don't need to

go on a strict Candida diet. I have always been a huge animal lover

since I was a little girl and would gag when I tried to eat any kind

of animal. I understand why people do it, I just get grossed out

whenever I've tried any meat. So this special diet pretty much

consists of veggies. With all these sugar cravings, vegies don't

have any appeal at all. I have to force it down my throat.

My weight has gone up 30 lbs. since I got sick 5 yrs. ago-I have

always been very active and never had to worry about a weight

problem. I refuse to buy bigger clothes so everything is so tight. I

keep thinking that any week now, the cravings will stop and I can

wear my clothes again! So now I am small chested and feel overweight

as well-My husb. had an affair last year, and that really hurt my

self esteem too. I never thought that I could stay with someone who

cheated on me, but we went thru a year of therapy, and he is in a

men's support group at our church for men who have cheated. I

couldn't help but blame myself for what he did, since I've been so

sick all this time. I know that our vows said in sickness and in

health, but no one thinks that the health problems are going to

start so early in your marraige and never go away!

Tomorrow is our 7 yr. wedding anniversary and I have been in pain,

tired, and depressed almost every day for the past 5 yrs. Being sick

has really taken away my sense of humor. Especially because for 3

yrs. no one could find anything wrong with me! I thought that I was

losing my mind. I belong to a fibro group here in Las Vegas (no one

there believes in Candida) and at least 1/2 of their husbands have

left them because of their illness. It scared me to death to think

about being single right now. I really want to be a good Mommy to my

3 yr. old.

Have you ever tried anything for your cravings? Where do you live?

I hope that you are having a good day-Love, Daryl

Hi Daryl,

antibiotics. I went to the doctor about 3 months ago and he

diagnosed me with a sinus infection. He didn't prescribe

antibiotics. He put me on guiaffsen (spelling?) also known as

musinex (OTC) and advil sinus. I only took the guiaffsen and

purchased tylenol sinus instead. Advil makes me depressed so I

can't take it. Later I thought that it was odd that this doctor

didn't put me on antibiotics but then read an article that sinus

infections shouldn't be treated with antibiotics. I was very

surprised. My sinus infection did go away. Recently I haven't had

any problems with sinus problems. Guiaffsen is also used to treat

primary fibromyalgia. I no longer take the tylenol sinus because of

the silicon dioxide in it. I wondered why everytime I took one

before bedtime, I'd be sick the next day. Sick to the point where

I'd be in bed all day!

tablets twice a day.

thank Colleen M. for that. I wrote to her about a month after

explant after looking at her website. We had so many of the same

symptoms, especially the weight gain. She told me what she was

taking. I wrote everything down and a little over a month ago, I

purchased everything that she is taking.

going away. My sinus problems are better, my IBS has greatly

improved and I haven't had a yeast infection in a month.

feeling very dizzy. This just started two days ago. The room spins

and/or the floor feels like it is tilted. I had some of this before

explant but it has come back. Vertigo seems to run in the family so

I'm not sure if that is what is going on with me now or not. I know

after the last incident, I'm going to have to get my butt to a

doctor because I fell on the floor the room was spinning so quickly!

> As for sugar cravings...I've had them all my life. I love sweets

and have always been able to eat them without any ill affects. But

when I became ill that all changed. I've always craved sweets from

the time I was a child. They never caused yeast infections before.

I might have had one yeast infection in three - four years. The

implants sure did change all of that.
