Guest guest
Hi I'm new to this group. I went to my DO in Oct 2000 because my periods were soooo heavy. She ran a blood test and my TSH was 94 (the highest she had ever seen.) She put me on Levoxyl. Well a few weeks ago I was watching Larry King and saw Dr Weil and someone had asked him about thyroid problems and he said he would take Thyrolar. All I know about it is that it is synthetic and has T3 and T4. (And made by the same company that makes Armour.) I asked my Dr if she would switch me to that because I didn't feel any different with the Levoxyl and she agreed to. I am now on Thyrolar 1. My TSH level on my last blood test was .80. Looking forward to this group. Louise PS Periods not heavy but long. 7 1/2 days. Blech. I tried a low dose birth control and had a bad reaction. I'm 37 so it could be perimenopause.
