,

I used the Lugol's iodine/iodide drops from the Walgreens' (or any) pharmacy. I use 2 drops morning and night, although the prescriptions said 4 drops twice/day, I started out with 2, out of caution, - and because once I took 3 drops and got heart racing,

I considered myself warned! 2 drops for maintenance 2x/day have helped me all along, eliminating hyperplasia and lessening hypo thyroid symptoms (body temperature and energy level). Since the Lugols' didn'thelp me enough anymore

for energy after a few weeks, (and following an MD doc's (Newsletters self test instructions, that my adrenals were inadequate - no wonder with my stress level then! - ), I asked my doc to order the smallest dose of Cortef. All three together - Lugol's, Armour and Cortef , aside from the DHEA - really 'did the trick' for me.

After my stress level went down, I didn't need the Cortef and the DHEA regularly anymore, I could tell by my energy: The 'slumps' in the late mornings or early afternoon faded away every time I had an 'easy day and no big problem on my plate'.

On the whole, It's still that way - thank God!

My doctor is recommending hysterectomy. I have hyperplasia and polyps. The thing is, women can get this without using the hormones the way G suggested. It is so hard to know what to do. My endometrium was at 1.7 cm, and I had vaginal bleeding off and on. More like spotting. > > I am on the fence about hysterectomy. He is pushing for it - Dr. Samimi, who does the 'bloodless' hysterectomy that preserves ligaments and muscles and nerve bundles in the vagina and pelvis - and we are moving in another month or so to another part of the country where I won't have access to him, so I am really conflicted about this.> > Gael> > > > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------> See what's free at AOL.com.>

Charlotte,

Thanks for your response. I don't have any thyroid problems, just

bad depression when I use progesterone. Would you use progesterone

to prevent hyperplasia if you didn't have any other problems. Would

a Dr. Rx it for that? Just wondering.

Thanks so much and have a beautiful day.
