Guest guest
Thanks for your input. I'm going to talk to my Dr. at my next appt. Sometimes the pain is really bad and a stronger med at night would maybe help me sleep. My one concern is I know that these types of meds can be highly addictive and, I of course, don't want that to happen! How do you and others take these without that happening? Excuse me if I sound like an idiot. Thanks! Hugs, Jamee (I'm in NJ!) Hi Jamee,…….I take Oxycodone for my pain. The nurse is right that it doesn’t help if the pain is mainly from nerve type of pain, but there are other pain modalities associated with MS too. My Dr. said what it does is calm the Central Nervous System down so it lessens the impulses of the pain, in other words it dulls it. No it doesn’t take it all away, but it does help me relax enough I can sleep. I don’t see why they wouldn’t at lease let you try it to see if it helps?
