Guest guest
I'm not sure who to address this to, I called Deborah Pettitt in reference to the explant study. I told her about my symptoms, positive ANA lupus screening and when I got my implants. She told me briefly about her experience, and it was nice to talk to someone on the phone who could I could relate to. I told her I would be explanted sometime in November, and she said she had a friend who is a PS in Madison, Wisconsin who could do it for me sooner and at a discount. I also told her that I had a chin implant to be removed (an up-sell by an unscupulous PS who said my face was assymetrical and I would look better with it, I now know my face was fine the way it was) and she said " I'll call my friend (the PS?) and get back to you tomorrow. " She abruptly hung up and hasn't called me back (I spoke with her on Tuesday morning). I do believe that studies are so important so that we can warn others before they do any harm to themselves, but the way she was rather unprofessional about the whole thing left me feeling a bit unsure as to whether she is really serious about this. I am not trying to dissuade anyone from contacting her, but I just want to say be careful in regards to your feelings, because we are all going through physical and emotional challenges. God bless and I'm praying that we all get better, Carol
