Guest guest
: I was on the Estradots from Masters Marketing and they are very similar to the Vivelle dot. I wish MM would give you 8 boxes of 4 patches, but unfortunately all you get for the price is 1 box of 8 patches. I'm glad you are doing better on the Climara, but you need to increase just a little if you're still having formication. I am not sure if the Climara can be cut, but the Estradots and Vivelle dots can be cut. You just take a ruler and divide the patch into 1/8 or 1/4 and then slap that extra bit on. Save the rest in the envelope, folded shut. I was using a 100 mcg plus a 50 mcg, and during progesterone days, I added 1/8 of a patch. The Estradots are changed twice a week. I was cleaning out my closet and discovered that I still had 2 boxes of Estraderms from 12 years ago! I couldn't believe how big they are. The 0.1 patch is 3 " long by 2 " wide. The plastic is not as flexible, and you can see the gel sandwiched between two layers, so they can't be cut. Does anybody know if they are still using this old technology in the Estraderms? Are they still this huge? I feel like I should save money by using them, but I remember how uncomfortable they were. Of course, it says they are expired, but I believe they are still good.-----Rosette -- In rhythmicliving , V wrote: > > Hi Rosette , I am now on the Climara patch .1mg and I slept so good last night , it was dark one minute and the next it was morning . I think I may need to go up a notch in dose because I still have a touch of formication but not near as bad as it has been for years . It drives me crazy when it's bad but since on the patch 3 days I think it's much improved . I have a question for you . I have read that you were on the patch and I'm on Climara and it is changed once a week but the Vivelle dot on Masters marketing does not say how often it's changed so I think you said you were on V Dot . How often did you change it . I got my patches from Inhouse Pharmacy but I think I like Masters prices better . When it says 8 for the patches on Masters Marketing does that mean 8 patches or 8 boxes of 4 patches ? I really like that I don't have to be mindful to apply E 2x Daily . Guest guest
Top posting... I've got recent Estraderms. The 100s are bigger than the 50s. They are big with the old technology with the gel in the center and the plastic is very noisy. I tend to rip it off and toss it on a side table when the crinkling is distracting to my endeavorers. I'm pleased that the adhesive will usually re-stick well. It didn't do that for me in the past. They would always fall off, but I think it's a change in my skin not the adhesive. My mother and others I know prefer Estraderm over Climera because they can see when the gel is used up. Instead of looking clear they become opaque. I'm still going back and forth trying to find my preference. I like being able to cut the Climera into smaller doses, but the welts they leave appear to be bigger. I am sensitive to the adhesive on all of the patches and I get a branding from them. My doctor commented that the pharmacist he works with says there is mercury or some such thing in the adhesive, but I haven't researched this so it's merely a rumor until I get more information. I still haven't found the ultimate solution --- imagine that. Laurel > > I was cleaning out my closet and discovered that I still had 2 boxes > of Estraderms from 12 years ago!
