Wow ! GREAT results!!! Thanks so much for posting those. I

love to see everyone's results, it gives me a warm-fuzzy

feeling. :) So are you on to your next challenge already? Did you

post goals for the next one (I might have missed them)?

Great Job . I don't think you need to worry about anything. Just keep

Yes ma'am. I am now just beginning week 3 of my 3rd BFL cycle. ~90+

pounds down and ~65+ to go.

I was delighted that the inches had fallen off at a faster pace than

what I had expected. This was true from the beginning of BFL until now.

It seems disproportionate to the actual weight loss, but, hey... I'm

not complaining!!!

I had created a number of interim goals, but, many were quite aggressive

in weight loss and had missed on them.

Christmas was 300.0, I hit 304.0.

Valentines was 290.0 I hit 290.6.

Memorial day was 260.0, but it looks like I'll still be hanging out

at ~262. ...Damned scale is stuck again! :)

The nice part is that my pant size target for:

Christmas was 52, I hit 50

Valentines was 48, I hit 46

Memorial day (tomorrow) was 44, I have now just started purchasing

40's, and my body fat was supposed to be 32%, and I am already below 29%

My next interim goal is for the 4th of July. I wanted to be at 250 with

a pant size of 42, but now I'll have to adjust that, since I've already

made the size. ...Of course, I may have to adjust UP the weight too,

since the scale is not being as cooperative as I had hoped.

By the time I hit my summer vacation (8/6/04) I want to be at 238 pounds

and a total body fat of 20%.

By my 28th wedding anniversary, 9/10/04, I want to be at 230 pounds and

did have a target of a 40 to 42 " pant, but I'll need to adjust that a

little too.

One of my daughters is getting married 10/23/04 and I have a goal of a

38 " pant size, 222 pounds, and a 17% total body fat for her wedding date.

For Christmas of 2005, my goal is 205 pounds with a total body fat of

~10% and a 38 " pant waist.

And finally, my overall goal at the end of my 5th BFL cycle, which will

end on 1/22/05, is 195 pounds with a targeted body fat of less than 10%

and a 36 " pant waist. A lean, but not mean, protein eating machine. My

doctor suggests that, given my body mass, I might expect to settle down

to a weight someplace between 220 and 240 pounds. I, however, I really

want the extra " jelly rolls " gone, and will do what I can to make it

happen!

BTW, these weights and total body fat measurements were based on my

current Tanita 682 scale. I do have another that differs quite a lot

from the Tanita scale, but remains consistent in the net reductions.

So, if I have to change out the scale for any reason, which I did last

November, I will reserve the right to further massage my numbers. :)

As far as muscle strength, I would like to continue gaining strength,

but don't know exactly how to define that goal just yet. Although I am

significantly ahead of my original plan, I am still babying my left

shoulder torn rotator cuff (supra and infraspinatus) and don't think I

can set that revised goal until it heals.

By the end of cycle 3, I do expect to be doing my burn out set of 12

curls using 2x 50 pound dumbbells and my dumbbell bench chest press, for

the burn out set at 2 x 70 pound x 12 reps. I did originally have this

as a goal for 12/31/04, but am revising the time line and expect to

increase the overall goal. And, since I find barbells a little easier

than dumbbells, my long term goal was to bench press 100% my own weight

(or more) for 12 reps with less than a level 10 effort.

After 1/22/05, it will be simply, Body-for-LIFE! Continuing to be the

best that I can be. Actually, at 5'11 " , I want to look like a slightly

taller Bill . ...But, not quite sure how I'll get the nice full

head of curly hair! :)

Hi ,

You have made some really awesome progress, and made (or almost-

made) or exceeded your goals consistently. You will definitely see

the inches disappear faster than the lbs. I weigh about 20 lbs more

on the scale now than I did 6 years ago when I was the same size in

clothing. Go figure. All that muscle weighs a lot. ;)

Keep adjusting your goals as you go along, because your body won't

follow your timeline (as you have already experienced). I am

impressed that you have short AND long-term goals. Most people

don't think that far ahead. It shows your commitment long-term to a

healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work!!!
