Guest guest
Tinnitus (ringing in the ear) is a listed side effect of mtx. Since your symptoms start regularly after taking the mtx, it would be safe to assume the mtx is responsible. It's a good idea to mention it to your doctor. Guest guest
I had ringing in the ears a lot when I was young. That is because I had many ear infections. My immune system is poor from the implants and I've noticed that I'm getting the ringing back again. The last time I had it, I did have an infection in the ear. http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/forum.asp?articlekey=24741 Kendal__________________________________________________
Guest guest
Out of the 20 people in the study, how many were low in COQ10? Thx. CB RINGING IN THE EARS Bringing Coenzyme Q10 levels back up to normal helps patients with tinnitus. Tinnitus is described as a ringing or hissing in the ear (not caused by noise). If you have it in both ears it is called tinnitus aurium. The Univ. of Calif. at San Francisco Audiology Clinic states that 50 million Americans have tinnitus with about 10 million (12 million according to the American Tinnitus Association) suffering badly enough to seek medical care. In this study 20 patients with tinnitus in both ears (tinnitus aurium) had their Coenzyme Q10 levels checked and the level of tinnitus evaluated. They were supplemented with Coenzyme Q10 for 16- weeks. Coenzyme Q10 supplementation raised their blood Coen . zyme Q10 levels and improved tinnitus in those initially low in CoQ10. The study was performed at Charite-University Medicine in Berlin and is published in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. > Tinnitus is a common symptom of the Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ) and is associated with a poor bite relationship – leading to grinding and clenching and inflammation of the joint. We find that occlusal equilibration, if done correctly, has a beneficial effect in giving relief. Jerome Mittelman, DDS, FAPM jmittelman@...
