If it's any comfort, I have a number of friends who have had mastectomies without getting reconstruction or implants, and they are doing fine. Much better than those who had implants. As one woman. Pam Dowd (do a websearch for her if you're interested) said, " I survived cancer, but implants nearly killed me. " She testified before the FDA last April. The complication rate for implants for cancer patients is about 45% over a five year period. There are some things you can do to help your body improve. I'd suggest reading everything Johathan Rubin has written. He's truely inspired and the product line he has created is excellent. His latest book " The Maker's Diet " is a best seller. However, if you're symptomatic, you're in for a never ending battle. It there's anything we can help you with, please let us know!
