Guest guest
Hi Lori, The rash, the ITP and the spleen are all related to the implants. I would bet on it. I would have them removed as soon as possible. Why are they saying that your spleen needs to be removed? My spleen is enlarged and has been so for the last three years. It is related to the implants. I don't want to scare you but I'd get them out as soon as possible. You are definitely having a very bad reaction to them. I went to doctors for years before my explant. Everyone also said the same thing, that the implants weren't related. They are out now. I still have some problem but have definietely improved and continue to improve. I bet if you had them removed as soon as possible you wouldn't have to have your spleen removed and alot of your problems would eventually improve or go away completely. lmccane19 <lmccane19@...> wrote: Hi my name is Lori and I had my saline breast implant surgery on 5-25-05 one week after I developed a strange rash on my face chest and back but my plastic surgeon assured me it was a fluke. Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with ITP (autoimmune disease) my antibodies are attacking my platelets. I was told on Thursday I need to have my spleen removed immediately. Every doctor Ive spoke with believes it has nothing to do with my implants. Im just wondering if anyone out there has had any similiar problems. It just seems strange that all of this happened to me right after my surgery up to that point I was fine any input would be great thanks. Beth S. Guest guest
Welcome Lori! I would say remove the implants BEFORE you remove your spleen. Women who have severe and immediate reactions to their implants tend to improve the fastest upon explanting them. I had my implants for 11 years, but had some immediate symptoms when they were put in. I have now been implant free for about 5 weeks and am feeling wonderful. Most of my major symptoms totally disappeared after my surgery. Best of luck to you!
Guest guest
It took almost two years after explant for my spleen to return to normal. I would definitely not remove the spleen. Get the implants out and detox. Lynda At 07:55 AM 7/31/2005, you wrote: >Hi Lori, > >The rash, the ITP and the spleen are all related to the implants. I would >bet on it. Guest guest
Hi Lori, There are three of us that agree not to have your spleen removed. If you have it removed you will have to be on medication for the rest of your life. I think that the implants need to be removed. I'd never have my spleen removed unless it was life threatening and I've had problems with mine for 3 or more years now."Beth S." <schaffe88@...> wrote: Hi Lori, The rash, the ITP and the spleen are all related to the implants. Guest guest
Lori, The connection is just too great to be an accident. . .. Before getting your spleen removed, please explore getting your implants removed. Many of our women's problems start with a rash on their chest. Chances are your implants were contaminated when they were put in, or your genetics predisposes you to reject the materials the implant is made of. The surgeon who put your implants in is usually not a good choice. However, if you can get him to agree to remove any capsule, along with the implant, I would consider going with him/her if that would expedite getting them removed. You also want your surgeon to use drains following surgery for as long as you have signficant drainage. We have a list of surgeons we recommend . . . However, it takes time to get in, and you may have to travel to get to one. Where do you live? You should also file a MedWatch report! If your doctor tells you that you will be disfigured without your implants, consider that's his/her experience and run! I would suggest using some products known to fight bacteria . . . Raw, fresh, crushed garlic, Oil of Oregano, or Olive Leaf Oil. These may not make you well since the source of the problem is in your body. But it may help tide you over until you can get help. We have a tremendous amount of info in our archives. Please take the time to read through those that apply to you! . . . If you have any questions, we have a wonderful group of women who want to help! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Guest guest
--- Lori, My first symptoms were rashes and acne on my back. I had never had acne before and it went straight to my whole back 3 weeks after implant. I had them in for 2 years before i realized that all that was wrong with me wasnt just going to go away and it wasnt just a coincidence. I was explanted 2 weeks ago. Feeling much better, glad i took em out before it all got worse. In , " lmccane19 " <lmccane19@y...> wrote: > Thank you for your message its so nice to hear from someone who > understands. Guest guest
auwbree, thanks for the information. It sounds exactly like what is happening to me. I hope you dont mind me asking but how did your explant go? painful? recovery time? Did you use the same plastic surgeon? I have already decided they are coming out just wondering what to expect. I hope your feeling better and your acne and rash is gone. > > > Lori, > > > > > > The connection is just too great to be an accident. . > > > . Guest guest
--- Lori i tried for almost 2 years to do things naturally to fix the rashes and acne. But nothing worked, i also had another wierd and gross symptom almost immediately as well-strong body odor. Guess those were all ways of my body trying to tell me somthing. Anyway after 2 years i decided to try an antibiotic for my skin because summer was coming up and i wanted to actually be in a bathing suit this year. I ended up feeling so horrible, a feeling of flu and weakness all the time, dont know if the antibiotics kicked it in gear or not but it got so bad that me and my boyfriend said it cant get any worse with them out so lets do it. And we were referred to a doc here in Colorado. It wasnt the same doc that did the implant, now that i know more,he was a total moron. I went to Dr. Huang, she was really great i actually go in tomorrow to have the dressing taken off and replaced. It took me a week to go back to work, even though i prob should have waited longer. I am holding my 2 1/2 year old now so there is a little more pain but she is pretty heavy! Definitly not as painful as the implant, i was actually out house hunting 2 days later, dumb thing to do again. But anyway if you use one of the doctors that is recommended you should be fine. All these women have lots of information that was very helpful. The first week was hard for me, i was pretty depressed. But that faded and i am doing pretty great. I still have some of the acne on my back and now face but i have so many other things in my life that are causing stress so i dont expect to fully recover until that is all over. And that may take a while, divorce is a very difficult thing when you have a child. Aubrey In , " lmccane19 " <lmccane19@y...> wrote: > auwbree, > > thanks for the information.
