Guest guest
This is a web form response sent in by Kondracki kondm@... on Thursday, April 13, 2000 at 10:31:15 Message: We are a small department. 2500 calls a year. We have 4 dispatchers. We are the Union. My question is, what good is a 4 person union when heading into court? I am new to working in a union, and don't understand what good it is to be a union if you can't be represented in court by your union lawyer. If we had to go to court, we would have to find our own lawyers and pay for them ourselves. This same situation goes for contact negotiations if we went to arbitration. Our union dues adds up to peanuts. Has any other dispatchers run into this situation. Any help at all would be great. If you need more information please email me directly.
