Guest guest
I also only had my salines in for 6 months & had them removed without removing the capsules, its almost been 1 yr since my explant (Aug 12) & I can finally (knock on wood) say I'm pretty much back to my old self health wise, I was very sick very fast, 2wks after getting them I started having every symptom you can think of, but after explant it has been along road of supplements, lots of pure water, excersing, organic when possible etc. it was slowly but surely for me. How long has it been since your explant? Try & hang in there & conitue to do what you are doing! Guest guest
I have only had mine in for 3 months and have decided to have them removed. I have had all of the horrible symptoms too. I am scared though of being deformed. 3 out of 4 plastic surgeons I consulted with all said I will be very depressed and be deformed with loose saggy skin. Was this anyones experience? Please help! > > Idid not have a capsulectomy done my surgeron took my implants out > for > > free. I have to pay hospital and anstheologist.I go to doctor Feng > to > > see about a capsulectomy. Guest guest
Here is what I think....any doctor who tells you that you are going to be deformed with loose saggy skin is making a statement about their own lack of skill in performing this surgery! Say goodbye and run out of the door! There are skilled doctors out there who can remove implants and make you look great. In fact, I've known women who got their implants out and have absolutely loved their post-explanted breasts! A good surgeon can make you look great, and we've seen it over and over again. Young women have elasticity to their skin. I knew a woman who was a dancer in a strip club. She had very tiny breasts to begin with, but after she got sick and got the implants out, she was able to go back to dancing in the club again, and her boobs looked totally natural. They were not saggy or stretched out at all. I saw her pictures...she looked like she had never had implants, and was only left with some scars around her aerola. You'd have to look very close to see that. My point is that the skin bounces back to its former state very well in many women who have great skin elasticity. These doctors are con artists...They just think we are stupid and will believe anything they tell us. Run from them and find a truthful one who won't use scare tactics against you, and has the skill to do what needs to be done. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your response. I am so scared. I also have numbness in the lower halves of my breasts and thick scars. I am 39, and so don't think my skin will be so elastic, although I am very skinny with tight skin tone. I so HATE my old plastic surgeon. I can't believe I did this and let him mutilate me. I did such a stupid thing. I have a constant buzzing feeling, my arms are numb and tingling all the time and am severely depressed. Will I ever be the same? > > > > Idid not have a capsulectomy done my surgeron took my implants > > out > > > for > > > > free. Guest guest
Our support group was formed to give women hope that they can get better. I was so desperate to get my health back after I got sick. When I first got sick, all I wanted to do was talk to other sick women and find out what they were doing to get better. I had to have hope that I could get rid of that horrible brain fog and fatigue and live life to the fullest again. Through the years, I've seen alot of women drop out of sight in the support groups, I've seen women get worse, I've seen some of them die, but there were always some who got better. I wanted to know what they were doing, and then I wanted to start helping other women find the answers to help them get better too. I think we've found that there are certain principles to live by that increase our odds of getting better, and that is what we've been trying to share here. So, yes, I think you can get better! As for being the same, my honest feeling is that we will never be the same, but that doesn't have to be a negative thing. In fact, I like to think that I have learned so much and gained so much awareness of others who are suffering that I am an even better person that I was before. My symptoms are gone for the most part, but I definitely do not take my health for granted. I am always cautious about how I treat my body, what I eat, what I expose myself to, etc. This is the positive side of our experience. Learning. I hope you won't be scared. I know it is much easier for me to say when you are going through this for the first time and finding out that implants can really do some serious damage to your health. I was scared out of my mind when I first got sick. But I am 7 years post explant, so I want to calm your fears.....you can have a better future once you get rid of the implants, making sure you have found an excellent, compassionate and knowledgeable plastic surgeon to remove your implants properly. From there, you can do some detoxing efforts either through a supervised program with a naturopathic doctor, or you can read some of the excellent material in books and on the internet about detoxing and apply some of these principles to daily living. Detoxing doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. You just have to spend a little effort in finding out some of the ways to do it and do what you are most comfortable with. Does this help calm your fears? I hope so! I was about your age when I got my implants out. I was 38, and had stretched saggy skin from breastfeeding. I opted to get a lift upon explant, because I already knew that my skin wasn't going to snap back...it was going to stay saggy! Take care, and stay in touch. Guest guest
- Hi I think you will experience improvements after explant. Almost all of us do. And with detoxification you will get even better. I do not buy that you will have saggy skin. YOu haven't had them in very long at all. We have many people here who had implants much longer and their skin isn't sagging. I hope that you are not going back to your ps. He doesn't sound very competent and you dont like him. We have several good surgeons to recommend on this site. Hugs, kathy -- In , " suemarie6 " <sue.conley@s...> wrote: > Thank you so much for your response. I am so scared.
